The accolade was received by Shri B. K. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) marked its 35th Raising Day on October 23, 2024, with vibrant celebrations across the country. The event in Gurugram was graced by Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, who commended Chairman R. K. Tyagi and his team for their pivotal role in achieving “One Nation, One Grid, One Frequency,” thereby contributing to the realization of one of the largest synchronous grids globally. The Minister also lauded POWERGRID’s significant contributions to the Energy Transition.

POWERGRID Signed MoU to give financial assistance for setting up advanced Robotic Surgery System at ESIC Hospital, Faridabad

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) Northern Region-I, Faridabad signed an MoU with ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad for providing financial assistance towards setting up advanced Robotic Surgery System (Two no. Robot consoles). Estimated project cost is approx. Rs. 25 Crores (Twenty-Five crores).

This project being another milestone in POWERGRID’s mission of improving health and medical infrastructure in the country. This agreement signed, in the august presence of Sh. A.K Mishra, Executive Director, POWERGRID (NR- 1), Sh. Ratnesh Gautam, Insurance Commissioner, ESIC, HQ & Dr. Asim Das(Dean), by Sh. Ashok Kumar Mishra, GM (HR & CSR), POWERGRID, NR-I, Faridabad and Sh. Anil Kumar Pandey, Medical Superintendent, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad. Dr. Nishant Ghurnani, Robotic Surgeon, Dr. Mithilesh Kumar from ESIC Medical College & Hospital and Sh. Sanjay Kr. Verma, GM (HR & HOP), Shri Rajesh Kumar Gupta, CM(CSR), Shri U.C.Trivedi, Consultant & Shri Deepak Dhameja, CM.
