Noida, 12th August, 2026 : NTPC Ltd successfully concluded the national finale of Medha Pratiyogita 2026 at its Power Management Institute (PMI), Noida, with 24 teams competing across four categories – Junior, Middle, Senior and Employee. The annual flagship event witnessed participation of 1,863 teams from across NTPC projects & regions, providing a platform to employees and their families to compete in a spirit of healthy competition.

The competition commenced with the Unit/Project-level Written Round on July 12, 2026, followed by regional rounds held at Korba, Ramagundam, Talcher Kaniha, Nabinagar, Dadri and PMI, Noida, culminating in the National Finale on Tuesday.

The National Finale was contested with six teams in each of the four categories, taking the total number of participating finalist teams to 24.

The winners in the four categories were:
• Junior: Ahaan and Devayansh Singh – Western Region
• Middle: Utkarsh Parikh and Darsh Jain – Northern Region
• Senior: Tanmay Verma and Harshit Sharma – Northern Region
• Employee: Anshuman Shrivastav and Shubham Mishra – Western Region

Each winning team was awarded ₹30,000 in prize money along with a Certificate of Excellence.

The awards were presented by Shri Anil Kumar Jadli, Director (HR), NTPC Ltd.

Medha Pratiyogita is one of NTPC’s annual flagship initiatives that promotes a culture of learning among the employees and families.

The premier platform fosters vital collaboration and knowledge sharing across public sector enterprises, government agencies, and leading academic institutions. Featuring dedicated plenary sessions with domain experts, the conference serves as a unique arena for exchanging industry best practices to ensure sustainable, secure, and highly resilient operational excellence.

Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD inaugurated the event  and industry leaders. Speaking on the occasion, he underscored the growing significance of health, safety, and environmental resilience in the energy sector amidst dynamic climate conditions and NTPC’s unwavering commitment to embedding sustainability at the core of its operations while fostering a culture of safety and adaptability across all sites.

The meet was inaugurated by Director Finance-NTPC in the presence of ,Partners and audit managers of firms of CA/CMA,HODs and executives from Centralized Billing, USAG-Faridabad, CPGs, VPGs, Treasury, Fuel Payment, CC-commercial & Accounts, Establishment etc.

In his iddress, Mr. Jaikumar Srinivasan- Director (Finance), NTPC spoke at length about the role of internal Auditors in providing independent assurance regarding an organization’s risk management, governance, and effectiveness of internal control processes because of growing regulatory scrutiny, rising stakeholder expectations, complex technology risk, and competitive world.
