REC’s Executive Director S. Jayanthi, who led the PMSGY team, urged national vendors to deploy adequate manpower and brand owners to expand their channel partner networks across the state to facilitate faster installations. Discussions also focused on increasing vendor participation, ensuring quality of rooftop solar systems, vendor rating, training and capacity building. REC assured stakeholders of necessary support to address implementation challenges faced by vendors, consumers and DISCOMs and to further accelerate rooftop solar adoption under the scheme.

During the same high-profile event, Shri Jitendra Srivastava also participated in the official launch of the brand-new logo for the PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. This new logo is set to serve as the official visual identity of the central scheme, which is dedicated to bringing clean solar energy into millions of Indian households. By scaling up eco-friendly installations across the country, the ongoing mission focuses on securing sustainable, cost-effective, and affordable electricity access for residents nationwide.

During the RDSS review, discussions focused on project execution, quality of materials and workmanship, contract management, monitoring mechanisms, adherence to scheme guidelines, recovery of electricity dues from government departments, timely release of state subsidies and Government Budgetary Support. Shri Srivastava appreciated Rajasthan DISCOMs for improving AT&C losses from 17.49 per cent in FY 2021–22 to 14.26 per cent in FY 2024–25 (provisional).

Reviewing the PM Surya Ghar scheme, it was noted that 2.36 lakh consumers have applied, with rooftop solar installations completed for 1.15 lakh consumers, while grants have been released to 1.04 lakh beneficiaries.

These cutting-edge solutions will work in harmony for a more efficient, reliable, and readily available solution for domestic and commercial applications and are designed to meet the growing demand for clean energy and reduce dependency on conventional power sources.
