POWERGRID Wins PMIS Award for ‘Innovation in Exit Pathways’ for 6,265 Internship Opportunities

NEW DELHI. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been conferred the PMIS Recognition of Partner Company Award in the ‘Innovation in Exit Pathways’ category.The award was presented by Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), at a ceremony organised by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on Friday, August 14, 2026.

The award was received by Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), POWERGRID, along with Mr. B. K. Mundu, Executive Director-HRD, and the POWERGRID team. Mr. Anshuman Patnaik, Additional Secretary, and Mr. D. Balamurugan, Joint Secretary, were also present at the ceremony.

WCL Earns Best PSU Partner Honour, Offers 150 Technical Internships Under PMIS

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has received the “Best PSU Partner” recognition under the PM Internship Scheme from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. Mr. Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance & HR), WCL, received the award from Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

WCL has been making significant efforts to support the scheme and create meaningful learning opportunities for young people, particularly those residing in interior coalfield regions. Through practical training and industry exposure, PMIS is helping youth develop employable skills without having to move far from their homes.

As part of this initiative, WCL is offering 150 technical internships, reinforcing its focus on empowering youth and expanding access to career-oriented training opportunities.
