The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has not found a suitable candidate for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of SJVN Limited at a selection meeting held on December 5, 2025, in New Delhi. After interviewing the shortlisted candidates, PESB decided not to recommend any name and advised the Administrative Ministry or Department to determine an appropriate course of action, including selection through a search-cum-selection committee (SCSC) with the approval of the competent authority. PESB had invited applications for the post on September 17, 2025, as the CMD position has been vacant since June 20, 2025. Currently, Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD of NHPC Limited, is holding additional charge of SJVN Limited. PESB Withholds Recommendation for AAI Member (Operations) Post

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has decided not to recommend any candidate for the post of Member (Operations) at the Airports Authority of India (AAI), a key Schedule ‘A’ position under the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

PESB conducted interviews to select a suitable candidate for the Schedule ‘A’ position of Member (Operations), one of the key leadership roles in AAI responsible for overseeing operational efficiency and management across India’s airports.

Despite the wide range of experience among the contenders, the Board, after deliberations, did not find any candidate suitable for recommendation to the post at this stage.

The PESB has advised the Ministry of Civil Aviation to take an appropriate course of further action for filling up the position. This could include initiating a process through a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) or another suitable method with the approval of the competent authority.

A total of twelve senior officials from the Airports Authority of India appeared before the selection committee.
