SJVN Launches Nation-Wide Swachhta Pakhwada 2026 Drive

SHIMLA. SJVN Limited has officially kicked off its Swachhta Pakhwada 2026 cleanliness fortnight, which runs from May 16 to May 31 under the directions of the Ministry of Power. To mark the beginning, Chairman and Managing Director Bhupender Gupta urged all employees to actively participate, while Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma led the cleanliness pledge at the Shimla headquarters and Director (Finance) Parthajit De administered it at the Delhi office. Similar pledge ceremonies were held across all company projects and offices to reinforce SJVN’s commitment to the Swachh Bharat mission. Over the next two weeks, the company will organize a variety of activities, including cleanliness drives, tree plantation campaigns, school competitions, and waste management initiatives, aiming to promote sustainable habits and spread environmental awareness among local communities.

Blood Donation Camp Organized at Shimla

SHIMLA. SJVN organized a Blood Donation Camp at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility. The camp was inaugurated by Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), in the presence of Parthajit De, Director (Finance), Pankaj Porwal and other senior officials. The initiative highlighted the importance of compassion and collective responsibility in supporting the healthcare system.

Over 200 units of blood were donated by employees, their family members and other participants. Ajay Kumar Sharma, along with his spouse, also led by example by donating blood. The camp was organized in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Medical College, with a dedicated medical team present on-site. Officials appreciated the enthusiastic response and emphasized the need to continue such life-saving initiatives in the future.

SJVN Welcomes Parthajit De has taken over as Director (Finance)

NEW DELHI. Shri Parthajit De has assumed charge as Director (Finance) at SJVN,. With over 27 years of extensive experience in the power sector, Shri De joins SJVN from NHPC Limited, where he managed critical portfolios including Corporate Accounts, Taxation, and Employee Benefit Trusts.

His career, which began as a Trainee Officer in 1998, spans diverse project locations across Sikkim, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, and Bihar. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a Chartered Financial Analyst, Shri De brings a deep understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), tariff regulations, and corporate governance to his new role. His leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in the financial planning and operational development of SJVN’s expanding energy portfolio.

Sh. Bhupender Gupta, CMD, SJVN, congratulated and warmly welcomed Sh. Parthajit De on assuming the charge of Director (Finance).
