A Mechanical/Electrical power sector professional of the 1990 Executive Trainee batch, Shri Krishna joined NTPC on 26 October 1990 and has since held several key positions across major NTPC stations. An engineering graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Computer Science, he has built extensive expertise in thermal power plant operations, maintenance, fuel management, ash management and business leadership.

NTPC Kanti, a 390 MW power station and one of Bihar’s important generating facilities, plays a vital role in meeting the region’s growing power demand while maintaining high standards in operational efficiency, safety and environmental management. Speaking on his new assignment, Gupta said he would focus on further strengthening operational excellence, safety practices, sustainability initiatives and community engagement at the station. He expressed confidence that with the support of Team Kanti, the project would continue to achieve higher benchmarks in performance, sustainability and social responsibility.
