NEW DELHI. PTC India Limited has solidified a major long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Renewable Energy Limited to purchase 1200 MW of solar power for a duration of 25 years, marking a vital milestone in India’s clean energy landscape. The official agreement was executed by Shri Bikram Singh, Executive Director of Marketing for PTC India Limited, and Shri Sunit Kumar, Head of Commercial for NTPC Renewable Energy Limited.

The documents were formally exchanged in the presence of top corporate leaders, including Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Managing Director and CEO of PTC India Limited, Dr. J. S. Chandok, CEO of ONGPL, along with Pankaj Goel, Executive Director and CFO of PTC, HL Choudhary, Executive Vice President of Commercial, and other senior management officials representing NTPC Renewable Energy Limited and NTPC Green Energy Limited. This strategic alliance significantly accelerates the shared decarbonization goals of both public sector giants, establishing a robust supply framework for green electricity to support the nation’s sustainable infrastructure development.

नई दिल्ली: देश की सबसे बड़ी विद्युत उत्पादन कंपनी एनटीपीसी वर्ष 2047 तक 30 गीगावाट परमाणु ऊर्जा क्षमता विकसित करने की अपनी महत्वाकांक्षी योजना के तहत आठ राज्यों में 30 संभावित स्थलों का अध्ययन कर रही है। एनटीपीसी लिमिटेड एवं एनटीपीसी ग्रीन एनर्जी लिमिटेड के निदेशक (वित्त) जयकुमार श्रीनिवासन ने बताया कि कंपनी ने मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, आंध्र प्रदेश, गुजरात, ओडिशा, उत्तर प्रदेश, बिहार और महाराष्ट्र सरकारों के साथ बातचीत शुरू की है। कई राज्यों ने परमाणु ऊर्जा संयंत्रों के लिए प्रारंभिक अध्ययन की अनुमति भी प्रदान कर दी है।

उन्होंने कहा कि एनटीपीसी परमाणु ऊर्जा निगम लिमिटेड (एनपीयूएनएल) के माध्यम से देशभर में संभावित स्थलों की पहचान की जा रही है। चयन प्रक्रिया में जल उपलब्धता, भूमि की उपयुक्तता तथा अन्य तकनीकी एवं पर्यावरणीय पहलुओं का आकलन किया जा रहा है। कुछ स्थानों पर जल उपलब्धता की पुष्टि हो चुकी है और कंपनी व्यवहार्यता से जुड़े विभिन्न पहलुओं पर जमीनी स्तर पर काम कर रही है।

राजस्थान में प्रस्तावित माही बांसवाड़ा परमाणु ऊर्जा परियोजना की प्रगति पर जानकारी देते हुए श्रीनिवासन ने बताया कि 700-700 मेगावाट की चार इकाइयों वाली 2.8 गीगावाट क्षमता की इस परियोजना के पहले दो यूनिटों के लिए परमाणु ऊर्जा नियामक बोर्ड (एईआरबी) से खुदाई की अनुमति मिल चुकी है। परियोजना की खुदाई का ठेका सितंबर 2025 में दिया जा चुका है, जबकि पर्यावरणीय एवं अन्य आवश्यक मंजूरियां भी प्राप्त हो चुकी हैं। परियोजना की पहली कंक्रीट ढलाई अगस्त 2027 तक शुरू होने की उम्मीद है तथा पहली इकाई को नवंबर 2032 तक ग्रिड से जोड़ने की योजना है।

ONGC inks MoU with NTPC Green Energy Limited for Development of Renewable Energy Projects

Mumbai, 27th September 2023 : The MoU was signed by ONGC Executive Director Debdulal Adhikari (left) and CEO (NGEL) Mohit Bhargava in the presence of ONGC Chairman & CEO Arun Kumar Singh and NTPC Limited Chairman and Managing Director & CEO Gurdeep Singh.

The MoU envisages collaboration of the two mega entities in Renewable Power Projects in India and Overseas through offshore wind projects and exploring opportunities in the Storage, E-mobility, Carbon Credits and Green Credits, Nuclear, Green Hydrogen business and its derivatives (Green Ammonia and Green Methanol).

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) to realize its Renewable energy objectives towards energy transition on 27 September 2023. The MoU will primarily explore the feasibility and setting up of Renewable Energy Projects in various domains.
