PATNA. The NTPC Barh Power Station has officially become the second largest station for NTPC after reaching a total capacity of 3300 megawatts and achieving a record generation of 17,574 million units of electricity during the 2025-26 fiscal year. Alongside its massive thermal output, the station is rapidly advancing its green energy transition with the completion of 2450 kilowatts in solar energy projects, backed by an upcoming 400 MWh capacity Battery Energy Storage System to stabilize future grid demands. Beyond energy production, NTPC Barh is simultaneously driving community growth in surrounding rural areas by funding impactful social initiatives including girl child empowerment programs, student scholarships, localized healthcare services, and mobile medical vans.
