]]> HYDERABAD: NMDC, India’s largest iron ore producer, celebrated its 68th Foundation Day, marking a journey from its inception in 1958 to becoming a mining leader of global repute. The occasion featured the CMD Excellence Awards, the company’s premier platform recognising exceptional contributions by employees. CMD Amitava Mukherjee, along with the company’s Directors, Independent Directors, senior officials, employees and their families, graced the event. Awards were presented across multiple categories, including Khanij Ratna, NMDC Ratna, CMD Shields for top-performing departments, and Best Project recognitions—instituted in 2023 to honour outstanding achievements across the organisation.

Addressing the NMDC family, Shri Mukherjee highlighted the company’s blend of legacy and forward-looking vision, noting ongoing investments in digitally enabled, state-of-the-art equipment to strengthen operations and drive NMDC 2.0. He commended the awardees for inspiring excellence and reaffirmed the organisation’s resolve to continue learning and advancing. With a strong foundation built over 68 years, NMDC remains committed to innovation, sustainability and operational excellence as it contributes to India’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
