The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan has reached more than 34.54 crore citizens across India, including over 13.70 crore youth and 10.64 crore women, as the government strengthens efforts to combat substance abuse through awareness, community participation, treatment and rehabilitation. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment said more than 31.40 lakh awareness and outreach activities have been conducted under the campaign, with over 1.67 lakh Nasha Mukti Mitras and trained volunteers supporting community-level efforts.

More than 755 de-addiction facilities have been established over the past two years, including District De-addiction Centres, Addiction Treatment Facilities and centres in jails.

The government has also launched the NMBA 2.0 mobile application to help citizens locate nearby treatment facilities. As the campaign marks its sixth year, more than 34 lakh Nasha Mukti Pledges have been taken, while a National Mass Pledge Against Drug Abuse is planned by the end of September, with the Ministry targeting participation from more than 10 crore citizens.
