Shri Alok Katiyar to Take Additional Charge as Director (Works), NHSRCL

NEW DELHI. The Railway Board has entrusted the additional charge of Director (Works) at the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) to Shri Alok Katiyar, who is currently serving as Director (Electrical & Systems) at NHSRCL. The arrangement will take effect from the date he assumes charge on or after September 1, 2026, following the superannuation of the incumbent, Pramod Sharma. Katiyar will continue to hold his existing responsibilities as Director (Electrical & Systems) along with the additional charge of Director (Works).

Vivek Kumar Gupta, a 1988 batch IRSE officer, has taken charge as the Managing Director of the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL), overseeing India’s inaugural bullet train project. Formerly the Principal Executive Director/Gati-Shakti at the Railway Board, Gupta managed integrated operations across multiple departments. With a wealth of experience in senior roles within Central & Western Railway, including Chief Administrative Officer and Divisional Railway Manager, he brings a robust background in project coordination and construction to his new role.

Shri Vivek Kumar Gupta (IRSE: 1988), Principal Executive Director, Railway Board, Ministry of Railways, has been appointed as Managing Director (MD), National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) till the date of his superannuation. Gupta was appointed as Principal Executive Director, Railway Board on November 11, 2023.
