New Delhi | April 11, 2025: News18 Rising Bharat Summit 2025 in New Delhi served as a powerful platform to explore the vision, aspirations, and potential of India’s youth as the country moves toward the goal of becoming a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. With the theme “Youthful Aspirations: Dream Big, Achieve More, Rise Together,” the event brought together key voices from politics, business, art and engaged with global thought leaders to discuss and shape Bharat’s future.

The event featured several prominent national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Minister of Railways, Electronics & IT and I&B Ashwini Vaishnaw, among others. Their presence underscored the government’s commitment to youth-focused governance and long-term development.

In his keynote address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the need for performance-oriented policies that prioritise development over delay and said “The Waqf Amendment Bill ensures true social justice, ending appeasement and protecting Pasmanda Muslims from land mafias. In our first 100 days, we’ve delivered tax relief for youth, reforms in space, nuclear, and gig sectors, and launched WAVES to boost creativity. India cannot afford delays, our progress must be driven by performance.”

Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah, addressed concerns over electoral delimitation and national integration in a Q&A with Network18 Group Editor-in-Chief Rahul Joshi. He said, “I want to reassure our southern states that the delimitation process will be fair and proportionate. The opposition is creating fear to divert attention from its own failures. Our revised Waqf Act promotes transparency and protects the rights of the poor, particularly Muslim women. The idea of ‘One Nation, One Election’ is rooted in efficiency and unity, values our youth must uproot politics of appeasement.”

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal commented on India’s approach to global trade. “We remain committed to fair and balanced trade relationships. While the US tariff move was unexpected, we are actively engaged in dialogue and remain optimistic. India is opening new avenues for exporters and is prepared to act decisively against unfair practices. Our trade policies, guided by the ‘India First’ principle, reflect growing strategic maturity,” he said.

Highlighting India’s evolving foreign policy landscape, Union Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar said, “We see opportunities even amid global uncertainties. India engages early and strategically, and we are working towards key trade deals with partners in the US and Europe. From the Gulf region to Latin America, our relationships are expanding. The global community increasingly acknowledges Pakistan’s role in terrorism, and India stands firm in defending its national interests.”

Renowned Economist and Columbia University professor Jeffrey D. Sachs offered a nuanced perspective. “India is in a unique position; it must remain independent and avoid becoming entangled in geopolitical power plays. While some nations risk autocratic trends, India’s democratic institutions remain strong and resilient. With its scale, talent, and resolve, India is poised to become the world’s second-largest economy, not by imitation, but on its own terms,” he said.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, outlined India’s strides in technology and manufacturing. He said, “We are witnessing rapid growth, 17% in manufacturing, 20% in exports, and the creation of 2.5 million jobs. This year, we will see India’s first indigenous semiconductor chip. In AI, India has the talent and vision to lead. Our approach is not just timely, but responsible, anchored in fairness and long-term innovation.”

Emphasising accountability and road safety Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said, “The rules apply to everyone, including myself. When my vehicle was fined on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, I paid the penalty. Fines are meant to instil discipline, not generate revenue. We’re working to reduce toll burdens and cut road accidents by 50% through better engineering, helmet use, and inclusive infrastructure. Real progress comes from a sense of shared responsibility.”

The summit also featured a distinguished line-up of global and national thought leaders, including Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud, Former Chief Justice of India; Scott Kelly, Former NASA Astronaut and Retired US Navy Captain; Aravind Srinivas, Co-Founder and CEO of Perplexity AI; Abhinav Bindra, Olympic gold medallist and Founder of the Abhinav Bindra Foundation; Børge Brende, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum; and renowned actors Sunny Deol and Kajol, which added to the cross-sectoral appeal of the event.

His house celebrates all forms of art through collaborations. He shared the details of his Soapbox initiative a series of artistic collaborations curated by him. Siddharth believes in brewing something new every day, from hosting an artist residency program to partnering with diverse performing artists and experimenting with culinary art.

Shan Bhatnagar, an Artist, Collector, Conservationist & a Maximalist interior architect, talked about his vibrant artworks that are a distinct take on the traditional temple art of Pichwai painting. Shan incorporates traditional Rajasthani embroidery and jewellery as embellishments in his paintings, which is a marked difference from the traditional style.

He shared his spiritual connection with his paintings. “Luxury is a state of mind”, he said while talking about Art as an investment.

Aaliya Sultana Babi, popular as Dr. Dinosaur and Princess Dinosaur, is the daughter of the Late Nawab Saheb Salabat Khanji Babi Bahadur of Balasinor and has dedicated her life to the preservation and conservation of the remarkable dinosaur site and fossils that exist in the region that she is from. She shared her experience of setting up a Dinosaur Museum in a small village in Gujarat, which took 27 years of hard work. She shared her story of how she got a Dinosaur egg, which she calls ‘Masala Anda’, from a village woman. She has nurtured the idea of Dino tourism.

Mallyka Singh Dundlod, the founder of A Baisa’s Adventures, talked about her first memory of horses and her love for Shekhawati culture. She revealed how she was introduced to the equestrian world by her father, Thakur Raghuvendra Singh Dundlod, who pioneered horse safaris in Rajasthan in 1980’s. He founded Dundlod Safaris to revive the indigenous Marwari breed of Warhorses and to share his passion with equestrians from all over the world. She divulged that the population of horses in India is on the rise, especially the Marwari horses, which are known for their endurance.

Aahana Kumra shared her experience in the field of acting. She talked about how actors who are from a “non-filmy” background must bear the brunt of nepotism. She believes that nepotism will stay in Bollywood.

She talks about how she was brought up by her cop mother and how she tried her hand in all sports. She explicitly talked about her journey from theatre to Bollywood and her experience of her first film ‘Lipstick under my Burqa’ which was a great success. She candidly talked about her phase of depression and how she overcame it.

Niharica Raizada, Actor & a medico scientist explained why she chose the Beauty pageant. She said that it’s the fastest way to connect with people. She believes India is a Diamond with a huge potential for development and this was the reason for her returning to India after her studies abroad. She said that Luxury brands are spearheaded by Indian faces these days and people are looking at India differently.

It was an evening with a difference. An evening when the royals shared the stage with India’s top fashion designers, collectors, artists and actors to discuss luxury, traditions and talent.

उन्होंने राजस्थान की अशोक गहलोत सरकार को घेरते हुए कहा कि राजस्थान आज रेप के मामलों में नंबर वन है। भ्रष्टाचार में एक नंबर पर है। नड्डा ने गहलोत सरकार पर तुष्टिकरण का भी आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने बीजेपी के घोषणा-पत्र को विकास का रोडमैप बताया‌।‌नड्डा ने ईडी की जांच की टाइमिंग के सवाल पर कहा कि इलेक्शन कमीशन और ईडी वहां एक्टिव होती है जहां पैसे का लेन-देन होता है। उन्होंने छत्तीसगढ़ की चर्चा करते हुए कहा कि महादेव ऐप का स्कैंडल कैसे पकड़ में आया।‌ एक आदमी सर्विलांस पर था।‌ उसे कहा गया था कि भूपेश बघेल को इतने करोड़ देकर आओ। जब वह पकड़ा गया तो ईडी एक्शन लेगा ही।

राम मंदिर के सवाल पर जवाब देते हुए जेपी नड्डा ने कहा कि भाजपा सरकार ने अपना वायदा पूरा किया है। जहां रामलला का जन्म हुआ था उस राम जन्मभूमि पर मंदिर का निर्माण किया जा रहा है। ‌ विपक्ष राम मंदिर की स्थापना दिवस को चुनाव के नजरिए से देख रही है परंतु ऐसा नहीं है। ‌ इसके अलावा नड्डा ने परिवारवाद पर भी जमकर कटाक्ष किया तथा देशभर की अलग-अलग परिवारवाद से प्रेरित विपक्षी पार्टियों को सूचीबद्ध किया।

चुनाव के दौरान पार्टी प्रतिनिधियों पर बात करते हुए नड्डा ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी वैश्विक स्तर पर नंबर वन राजनेता है। ‌ यदि भाजपा प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के चेहरे का इस्तेमाल करती है तो यह भाजपा के लिए सौभाग्य की बात है। ‌

जेपी नड्डा ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि भाजपा विकास और जन कल्याण पर आधारित शासन के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और जब भी वे सत्ता में होते हैं तो भ्रष्टाचार की जमकर आलोचना करते हैं।
