In a WhatsApp screenshot shared by Ms Chakraborty, she said Mr Rajput wrote to her about his sister: “(To Priyanka) You do this, after the shameful act, making this a coverup to attract attention playing a victim card to the most non negotiable act of molestation under alcohol, well my dear sister, there is our mother and there is god that my mother stood for taught me things, and you have committed a crime according to that. If you’re blinded by your ego, God bless you because I’m not afraid and I will continue doing what I’ve done till now in bringing out the necessary changes in the world. Let the god and nature decide what ‘act’ is right now.”

In more WhatsApp messages, Ms Chakraborty alleged Mr Rajput was worried that Priyanka had been trying to influence his roommate Siddharth Pithani to drive a wedge between the couple.

In another screenshot, Ms Chakraborty shared what she claimed Mr Rajput wrote to her: “…My sister is now manipulating Sid bhai, playing a victim card trying to divert this entire thing (that you and I are letting go) into me physically punishing her for the act. It’s such a severe disappointment. has denied Ms Chakraborty’s allegations that Priyanka and Mr Rajput were not on good terms.

Meanwhile Sushant sister Shweta Singh Kirti posted videos on Facebook and Instagram of an interview where Mr Rajput is heard saying he is close to his sister Priyanka. “I’m close to everybody, but one of my sisters is very close to me because she gets to me. The kinds of things we think are very similar,” Mr Rajput says in the video.

“He admits he was closest to his sister Priyanka (Sonu Di) because she gets him…” Shweta Singh Kirti wrote on the video post.

Mr Rajput’s family in Bihar has filed a police case against Ms Chakraborty, alleging she cheated him financially and drove him to death.

Divya Khosla Kumar has responded to the allegations levelled against Bhushan Kumar in a video on Instagram. She uploaded the video with the caption, “The Bitter Truth #SonuNigam.”

In the 11-minute video, Divya Khosla Kumar says that T-Series has given a break to many outsiders including singers, music directors, lyricists and actors. She then questions Sonu Nigam if he has ever promoted any new talent in the industry. She says, “You (Sonu) are a legend. How many people have you given a break to?” And then herself answers, “No one.” Divya further claims that “97% people working in T-Series are outsiders, not industry kids.”

Divya then claims that Sonu used to “sing in Delhi’s Ramleela for Rs 5. It was there that Gulshan Kumar spotted him, recognised his talent and gave him a flight ticket to Mumbai and told him, ‘Son, I will make you a big artiste.'”

She also calls her cook Sheru on camera to corroborate her claims as she says he has been with the family since 1988.

Divya Khosla Kumar then claims that Sonu Nigam left T-Series immediately after Gulshan Kumar was assassinated and “joined another music company instead of helping Bhushan Kumar during T-Series’ trying times.” She then questions Sonu as to “why would Bhushan come to you to save himself from Abu Salem? Did Sonu Nigam ji have relations with Abu Salem?” She also demands an investigation into the matter.

Divya Khosla Kumar also says in the video that since Sonu Nigam’s video came out, Bhushan Kumar has been receiving “death threats”, she has been receiving “rape threats,” and even her child is being “threatened” on social media.

With Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death on June 14, Bollywood is grappling with criticism surrounding its nepotistic culture and now Nigam has criticised music labels for crushing talented singers.

Nigam posted a video on Facebook on June 18, claiming that there are “bigger mafias” in the music industry who call the shots regarding which artiste should work on a song. In the video, he had claimed that the music industry is controlled by two companies, without taking any names.

The 46-year-old singer had also said that if this culture continues, people would hear about suicides from the music industry as well.

Nigam again uploaded a video and said that even though he didn’t take any names, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series sent out “press releases” in the media quoting six singers to counter the singer’s views that the industry doesn’t run on favouritism.

Alia Bhatt lost the most number of followers in the past few days. The Gully Boy actress lost 444k followers on Instagram, followed by her mentor Karan Johar, who also lost 188k fans. After Alia and Karan, Sonam Kapoor lost around 84K followers while Salman Khan’s popularity also took a hit as about 50K people unfollowed the Dabangg star on social media.

On the other side The complaint has been filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha at a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur.

Sushant did suicide at his Mumbai home on Sunday. In his complaint, Ojha alleged that Sushant was removed from seven films and some of his films were not released.

“In the complaint, I have alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput was removed from around seven films and some of his films were not released. Such a situation was created which forced him to take the extreme step (sic),” the advocate told .

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam tweeted that Sushant was recently removed from seven films signed by him.

He said, “He lost the films in just six months. Why? The film industry’s ruthlessness works on a very different level. And that ruthlessness took the life of one talented person.

Reacting to the complaint, Ekta Kapoor said she is extremely upset.

She wrote on Instagram, “Thank you for the case for not casting Sushi (Sushant)…. when actually I launched him. I’m beyond upset at how convoluted theories can be! Please let family n friends mourn in peace! Truth shall prevail. Cannot believe this!”

Notably, Ekta produced Sushant’s popular TV serial Pavitra Rishta.
