PESB has recommended the name of Shri Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects) at NBCC (India) Limited, next Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). His leadership in executing large-scale metro, bridge, and tunnel projects—along with his advocacy for sustainable and connected urban mobility—has been widely recognized.

Ahmad emerged as the top choice following a rigorous interview process that included several senior executives from across the public sector. His name has now been forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval, subject to mandatory vigilance and procedural clearances.

NBCC (India) Ltd., a Navratna CPSE, contributed Rs.23.34 crore as Final Dividend for FY 2024–25 and Rs.35.01 crore as Interim Dividend for FY 2025–26, while its subsidiary HSCL, a Miniratna CPSE under MoHUA, contributed Rs.11.25 crore and Rs.2.19 crore, respectively, taking the total dividend payout to Rs.71.79 crore.

NBCC & HUDCO seal landmark pact to transform city skylines

NEW DELHI. NBCC (India) Ltd has taken a significant step forward in urban development by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) to execute a series of transformative projects across Panchkula, Kaushambi, Ahmedabad, and New Delhi. The MoU was signed by K P Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC, and Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman and Managing Director of HUDCO, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

Under this strategic partnership, NBCC will lead the development of a commercial complex at Kaushambi in Ghaziabad, oversee the integrated redevelopment of HUDCO’s land parcel in Panchkula, construct new blocks at HUDCO’s Regional Office in Ahmedabad, and reconstruct residential flats at the Asian Games Village Complex in Delhi. These projects collectively represent a combined investment of over Rs.117 crore and will be executed on a turnkey basis by NBCC, showcasing its expertise in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

This collaboration leverages NBCC’s proven capabilities in creating sustainable, energy-efficient, and innovative urban spaces, while complementing HUDCO’s extensive legacy in housing and urban development. By pooling their resources and strengths, NBCC and HUDCO aim to accelerate the creation of modern, people-centric environments that align with India’s vision for sustainable and smart cities.

New Delhi: In a strategic move to repurpose underutilized government assets, NBCC (India) Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Posts (DoP) for the redevelopment of postal land parcels across India. The agreement aims to adopt a self-sustainable model that enhances public infrastructure while aligning with the Government of India’s asset monetization goals.

The MoU was formally signed by Parimal Sinha, Deputy Director General (Estates & MM), Department of Posts, and Pradeep Sharma, Executive Director (Business Development), NBCC. The signing was attended by senior officials, including the Director General of DoP, CMD of NBCC, and Director (Commercial), NBCC.

This partnership will focus on the efficient redevelopment of vacant or underused postal lands. It seeks to ensure optimal land utilization while contributing to urban transformation through modern, sustainable infrastructure.

SCOPE holds strategic discussion with ILO & IOE

Fostering global employer relations, SCOPE leadership, Mr. K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman, SCOPE and CMD, NBCC, and Mr. Atul Sobti, DG, SCOPE held strategic meeting with Mr. Roberto Suárez Santos, Secretary General, International Organisation of Employers (IOE), Geneva; Ms. Michiko Miyamoto, Director, International Labour Organization (ILO) South Asia and Mr. Ravindra Peiris, Senior Specialist, ILO in presence of senior representatives from ILO and SCOPE.

During the deliberations, it was identified that SCOPE, ILO and IOE need to work closely on developing capacities of the employers in India through micro credentials, skill building with enhanced focus on just transition and developing awareness about responsible business conduct. ILO and IOE have extended their cooperation to SCOPE to strengthen its membership through frequent engagements.
