NHPC has been awarded the Best Enterprise Award (Third Place – Navratna Category) at the 36th National Meet of the Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS), established under the aegis of SCOPE, held on February 11, 2026, in Navi Mumbai. The event, themed “Her Era: Now and Beyond,” celebrated achievements and leadership in advancing women’s empowerment across public sector enterprises. Representing NHPC, Mrs. Reshma Hemrajani, Executive Director (Finance) and Chairperson, WIPS-NHPC, along with Dr. Satarupa Bhattacharjee, General Manager (Medical Services) and General Secretary, WIPS-NHPC, received the award. The recognition underscores NHPC’s sustained commitment to fostering inclusive policies, promoting gender equity and upholding excellence in public sector management.

NEW DELHI. Shri Sipan Kumar Garg has assumed additional charge as Director (Finance) of NHPC Limited, India’s leading hydropower company and a Navratna PSU, effective September 1, 2025. Currently serving as Director (Finance), CFO, and KMP of THDC India Limited, Shri Garg brings over 24 years of expertise in finance, accounts, taxation, and commercial functions in the power sector. A B.Com (Hons.) graduate and distinguished professional holding qualifications as a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Company Secretary (rank holder), and Law Graduate, he has held key leadership roles at NTPC and its subsidiaries, including CFO positions at Aravali Power Company and Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam. Renowned for his strategic insight and contributions to ICAI committees, Shri Garg is a recognized speaker on Accounting Standards and Ind AS, and was honored as Visionary CFO of India at the National Economic Growth Summit 2024, alongside accolades from ICMAI for his leadership and contributions to the CMA profession.
