Bengaluru, October 06th : In a celebration of resilience and digital empowerment, Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS) concluded its 68th batch of a free three-month computer training program on Thursday, handing out certificates to 19 dedicated differently-abled participants at NSS campus.

Director Vandana Agarwal highlighted the program’s far-reaching impact, noting that 1,055 trainees have successfully completed it to date. “This initiative is more than skill-building—it’s about forging a new identity in society and unlocking economic independence for our differently-abled community,” she stated. The course equips learners with practical tools like MS Office, internet navigation, typing, and digital communication, directly linking them to job opportunities in a tech-driven world.

NSS’s efforts span a wide array of vocational training, from tailoring and embroidery to mobile repairing, helping thousands transition to self-reliant lives and mainstream integration.

Heartwarming Success Stories

The batch featured standout journeys of determination. Take 24-year-old Vijay Kumar from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, who lost both legs in a 2019 train accident. NSS not only fitted him with modular artificial limbs but also immersed him in computer training. “This has sparked a fire in me—I’m now focused on building a stable, independent future,” Vijay shared with evident pride.

Equally inspiring is 22-year-old Neha Kumari from Vaishali district, Bihar, who was born with a partially developed leg. Provided with specialized calipers by the organization, Neha embraced the course wholeheartedly. “It’s like a door has swung open to possibilities I once only dreamed of,” she said, beaming with confidence. Trainers praised the group’s eagerness, emphasizing how these skills will anchor their professional paths ahead.

Advanced Programs on the Horizon

Looking forward, NSS is set to launch enhanced courses in advanced computing, digital designing, mobile technology, and online freelancing. These will propel participants beyond local prospects, enabling national and international freelancing or employment. “Our goal is global empowerment,” Agarwal affirmed.

As digital divides persist, initiatives like NSS’s shine as models of inclusive progress, blending compassion with capability to foster true equity.

Bengaluru, 8th September: Human life becomes truly meaningful when one’s existence can bring light and hope into the lives of others. With this divine vision, Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur, organized a Narayan Limb and Caliper Fitment Camp at Guru Amardas Banquet Hall, Indore. This was not merely a medical camp but a festival of service that restored countless broken dreams and gave motion to lives that had come to a standstill.

At the camp, more than 240 differently-abled individuals received artificial limbs. Not only did they stand on their feet again, but they also participated in games such as tug-of-war, running with joy on their new limbs. The legs that had stopped walking years ago once again began to walk on the path of life. Faces once lined with despair now shone with confidence and radiant smiles.

Chief Guest Kailash Vijayvargiya, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and National General Secretary of BJP, addressed the beneficiaries, saying: “With your courage and confidence, you are an inspiration to society. The government and Narayan Seva Sansthan are continuously working together to connect you with the mainstream. Every possible support will be provided to help you progress and become self-reliant.”

The camp began with a lamp-lighting ceremony. On stage, Chief Guest Kailash Vijayvargiya, Chairperson Tulsi Silawat, special guest Acharya Shri Rajesh Muni Ji Maharaj, social workers Parasmal Kataria and Anil Bhandari were warmly welcomed in traditional Mewari style by the institute’s directors, Vandana Agarwal and Palak Agarwal.

Presiding over the ceremony, Madhya Pradesh Water Resources Minister addressed the beneficiaries, saying: “You all are sources of inspiration in life’s struggles. It is society’s duty to provide you with every possible support. Narayan Seva Sansthan deserves congratulations for bringing change in your lives. We are proud that the sansthan has instilled courage and self-reliance in you. We stand with you and will strive to ensure easy access to education and healthcare.”

On this occasion, Director Vandana Agarwal of Narayan Seva Sansthan said: “Our aim is not only to serve but to provide differently-abled individuals the opportunity to live with self-reliance and dignity. This camp has brought new hope to all beneficiaries. We are proud to be working together to bring positive change in society. Your smiles are our greatest achievement. Let us all move forward with the resolve of service, compassion, and cooperation.”

It is noteworthy that in the selection camp held on 25th May in Indore, more than 400 differently-abled individuals had participated, of which 240 received artificial limbs today, gaining a new lease on life. These are not just limbs but keys to restart lives that had come to a halt.

Agarwal informed that a 40-member team fitted the Narayan Limbs using German technology. The doctors not only fitted the limbs but also provided training for their proper use. During the ceremony, a parade of beneficiaries deeply moved the audience, bringing tears to many eyes and filling hearts with pride. Throughout the camp, free snacks and meals were provided from morning to evening for beneficiaries and their families. Many differently-abled individuals shared their future dreams with the guests during their visit. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Hari Prasad Laddha and was anchored by Jitendra Sharma.

Narayan Seva Sansthan’s journey began in 1985. Founder Shri Kailash Manav has been honored with the Padma Shri and recently with the Community Service and Social Upliftment Award. The sansthan’s president, Prashant Agarwal, has connected lakhs of differently-abled individuals to the mainstream of society through healthcare, education, skill development, and sports academies. In 2023, he was also honored with the Presidential Award.

So far, the sansthan has provided more than 40,000 artificial limbs, and today in Madhya Pradesh, this resolve has grown stronger—that differently-abled individuals here, too, will walk the path of life with self-respect and dignity.

Bengaluru, September 1, 2025: Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS), a charitable organization dedicated to the empowerment and rehabilitation of the differently-abled and underprivileged, successfully organized its 44th Mass Wedding Ceremony on August 30–31, 2025, in Udaipur. With the theme “Where Every Couple is Special,” this edition witnessed the union of 51 couples, each overcoming unique physical, financial, and social challenges. The event, rooted in compassion and inclusivity, reaffirmed the Sansthan’s mission to enable dignified lives for those often denied the sacred institution of marriage due to disability or poverty.

From visually impaired to those with physical challenges, every couple showcased incredible resilience and self-belief. Some shared similar disabilities and triumphed together, while others found perfect harmony through mutual support. Their partnerships truly embodied the Sansthan’s core philosophy: that real togetherness isn’t about words or looks, but about connecting hearts and drawing strength from souls.

Take, for instance, the union of Aarti Kamaliya, 24, from Neemuch, and Gajendra Singh Chauhan, 27, from Udaipur. Both were born with hearing and speech impairments. Aarti, who’s in Class 10, handles her home duties with real commitment, and Gajendra earns his keep at a local clothing store, steadily building his independence. Their bond shows that deep relationships thrive on trust and empathy, not spoken words. Now, they’re excited to step into a future brimming with hope and joy, surrounded by everyone’s good wishes.

In the same spirit, during the 44th Mass Wedding Ceremony, Nikita Sahdev, 25, from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, tied the knot with Devendra Kumar from Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. Nikita contracted polio in both legs as a child and came to the Sansthan in 2017 for free care. After surgeries and getting calipers, she could walk again. She picked up tailoring skills and has been earning her own way at the Sansthan’s Sewing Center for four years now. Devendra, who has polio in one leg, also got treatment and training there, and he’s been working at the center for seven years. Their marriage is a powerful testament to bravery, perseverance, and standing on your own two feet.

Stories like those of Neela and Narendra, Bakhtaram and Savita, or Shakuntala and Ganesh further highlight how genuine love isn’t rooted in flawlessness—it’s all about courage, trust, and embracing each other as is.

The celebrations kicked off with the Ganpati Sthapna led by Padma Shri Kailash ‘Manav’ (the Founder), Kamla Devi (Co-founder), and Prashant Agrawal (President of NSS). Day one buzzed with mehendi, lively music, and the bindoli procession, leading into day two’s rituals: toran, varmala, panigrahan, and the mangalsutra exchange.

Following custom, each bride left in a traditional doli, reinforcing the idea that every daughter—no matter her background, deserves honor, respect, and a proper welcome in her new home.

The couples received practical gifts to kickstart their lives: kitchen utensils, furniture, sewing machines, stoves, fans, and bedding sets. Many had previously benefited from NSS programs, like corrective surgeries, artificial limbs, or job training.

At the event, Prashant Agarwal, NSS President, shared his thoughts: “This mass wedding goes beyond a simple social effort—it’s a real push for dignity and fairness. Every pair here reminds us that love, trust, and partnership can overcome any obstacle. Narayan Seva Sansthan is dedicated to building a world where no one gets sidelined because of money troubles or physical limitations.”

This national-level event witnessed participation from different states including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, making it a unifying celebration of love and togetherness.

So far, NSS has hosted 44 such mass weddings, bringing together 2,510 differently-abled and underprivileged couples. Each one has helped shift societal views, challenge old prejudices, and promote true inclusion.

This year’s event was streamed live, letting folks all over India tune in and experience this heartfelt display of humanity, kindness, and community spirit.

Beyond physical support, Narayan Seva Sansthan also offered counselling and mobility training, empowering recipients to adapt to their new devices and reclaim their independence with confidence.

The event was graced by Mrs. Vandana Agarwal, Director of Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS), who joined hands with local volunteers, medical professionals, and community leaders to champion the cause.

Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Mrs. Vandana Agarwal said, “At NSS, we believe that true service lies in reaching every corner of society and transforming lives in meaningful ways. Providing 783 individuals with free-of-cost artificial limbs and calipers in a single day is not merely charity—it is a step towards restoring dignity, mobility, and self-reliance. When people regain the ability to move freely, they open doors to education, employment, and active participation in community life, paving the way for a truly accessible India.”

This initiative followed a free Narayan Limb Measurement Camp held earlier on April 6, where more than 1,100 patients attended. Of these, 780 individuals—who had lost their hands or legs due to road accidents or other mishaps—were selected, and their casting and measurements for Narayan Limbs were taken.

Narayan Seva Sansthan’s impact extends far beyond India, with similar humanitarian camps conducted in countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Meru, Tanzania, and Nepal. Every month, the organisation fits approximately 1,500 people with artificial hands and legs, enabling them to lead more independent lives.

At the Hyderabad camp, a dedicated 40-member team from the Sansthan worked tirelessly to serve the beneficiaries, ensuring each recipient received personalised fittings and care. This effort marks yet another milestone in the Sansthan’s journey towards building an accessible and inclusive world.
