NHPC Limited has launched a National Essay Writing Competition on the MyGov platform on the theme “Role of Hydro Power in Building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.” The competition invites participants to share their perspectives on the contribution of hydropower to India’s energy security, sustainable development, and nation-building. The top 30 winners will receive digital certificates and a special invitation from the Ministry of Defence to witness the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort in New Delhi on August 15, 2026. Participants are encouraged to review the competition guidelines before submitting their entries.

This exciting initiative invites aspiring writers across India to unleash their creativity and share their unique stories on the theme: “SAIL: Building a Culture of Happiness, Where Every Smile Matters” | “सेल: खुशियों की संस्कृति का निर्माण, जहां हर मुस्कान मायने रखती है”.

This opportunity is open to all Indian citizens, including current and former SAIL employees and their families. Whether a seasoned writer or someone who simply loves to tell a good tale, SAIL encourages them to participate. They can submit entries either in Hindi or in English within 800 words limit.

To enter the competition, participants are to register and submit their stories at www.mygov.in/ (www.mygov.in/task/sail-story-writing-competition-2025/). The deadline for submissions is 11:45 AM IST (GMT +5:30 Hours), March 10, 2025.

Winners will receive not only recognition but also cash prizes, awarded separately in Hindi and English categories, as follows:
