MRPL has bagged the Best Innovation in R&D (Refining Technology) Award at ETM 2025, Hyderabad .The award was presented by Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, and received by Shri Nandakumar V. Pillai (Director–Refinery) and the MRPL Innovation Centre team.

The award recognizes MRPL’s breakthrough “Gradual Olefins and Aromatic Technology (GOAT)”, an indigenously developed Crude-to-Chemicals process enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability.

EIL and MRPL inked a Memorandum of Agreement for mutual cooperation

NEW DELHI. The MoA was signed in the presence of C&MD EIL, Ms. Vartika Shukla and MD MRPL, Shri Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath, along with other Senior Officials of EIL & MRPL at EIL’s in New Delhi.

The MoA shall provide a robust framework for fast-track implementation of various Engineering and Consultancy projects in Refineries, Petrochemicals, Biofuels, Renewable energy, Marketing terminals and Depots, and other projects of MRPL in India. The MoA shall further strengthen the association between EIL and MRPL in the Hydrocarbon and Renewable Energy space.

Mangaluru : In a landmark move, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has entered a strategic partnership with Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited (ISPRL). This partnership entails MRPL leasing storage capacity from ISPRL’s caverns, marking a significant milestone for both organizations.

The agreement was formally signed today at the MRPL office in Mangaluru by Shri B. Sudharshan, Executive Director Refinery (MRPL), and Shri Atul Gupta, Deputy CEO (ISPRL), in the august presence of Shri Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath, MD (MRPL), and Shri L. R. Jain, CEO & MD (ISPRL). This collaboration underscores a shared vision to drive mutual growth and contribute to national energy security. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all contributors who made this partnership possible. He highlighted that the agreement would enable MRPL to enhance its crude oil storage.

MRPL receives awards in eight categories in the PRCI conclave

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) emerged as a top performer, securing eight awards and finishing among the top three in the “PRCI Excellence Awards” for corporate entities in the recently concluded 18th Global Convention of the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), held in Mangaluru.

A release here said MRPL’s awards spanned eight categories, including Best Community Impact Communication, Internal Channel Award, Government Communication Films, Healthcare Communication Films, and Motivational Films among others. The awards were presented by notable personalities such as P. Krishna Bhat, former High Court judge and arbitrator; Ravi Kiran, a celebrated Kannada actor and director; and Mamata Lala, an extreme adventure sports enthusiast.

MRPL’s Group General Manager, Shri Krishna Hegde Miyar, received the “Excellence in Administration” award, while MRPL’s Chief General Manager of Corporate Branding and Communications, Rudolph Noronha, was honored for “Excellence in Corporate Communication.”

These awards were presented by Shripad Yesso Nayak, Minister of State for Power & New and Renewable Energy, alongside other PRCI leaders, including M.B. Jayaram, Founder Chairman Emeritus of PRCI, and Geetha Shakar, National President of PRCI.
