										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) to develop a comprehensive SDG alignment framework. This initiative aims to integrate national, state, ESG, and CSR indicators to support India’s vision of Viksit Bharat. The framework will build on the existing National Indicator Framework (NIF) to create a harmonized system that aligns state-level indicators with national priorities and incorporates ESG and CSR dimensions, thereby bridging various sustainability efforts across government and corporate sectors. This integrated approach is expected to enhance evidence-based policymaking, promote sustainable corporate participation, and advance the country’s development agenda through coherent SDG monitoring and implementation.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has released the results of Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) for the reference periods April 2023 to March 2024 (i.e. financial year 2023-24) referred to as ASI 2023-24 in this press note. The field work for this survey was carried out during October 2024 to June 2025 for ASI 2023-24. A brief note about ASI 2023-24 is given at the Endnote.</p>
<p>Annual Survey of Industries is conducted with the primary objective to provide a meaningful insight into the dynamics of change in the composition, growth and structure of various manufacturing industries in terms of output, value added, employment, capital formation and a host of other parameters. It provides valuable input to the National Accounts Statistics at national and state level. The results are prepared at state and major industry level. ASI 2023-24 results along with write-up are available in the website of the Ministry (https://www.mospi.gov.in).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has released the Compendium of Datasets and Registries in India, 2024, a comprehensive reference designed to enhance data accessibility and informed decision-making. As part of its ongoing efforts to modernize the National Statistical System, this initiative ensures seamless access to government datasets for policymakers, researchers, academicians, analysts, businesses, and the public.</p>
<p>The compendium consolidates metadata for approximately 270 datasets and registries from 40 Ministries and Departments, spanning key sectors such as agriculture, health, education, labor, tourism, banking, and rural development. It serves as a one-stop resource, offering insights into data availability, collection methodologies, update periodicity, legal frameworks, and sharing policies, along with direct links to data sources on respective government portals.</p>
<p>Aligned with MoSPI’s broader vision of streamlining India’s data ecosystem, this initiative supports evidence-based policymaking, research, and data-driven governance. The dynamic compendium is periodically updated to reflect new datasets, evolving methodologies, and revised policies, ensuring stakeholders have access to the most relevant and up-to-date information.</p>
