MOIL Achieves Best-Ever November Production and Sales Performance

MOIL Limited reported its highest-ever November performance with 1.65 Lakh Metric Tonnes (LMT) of manganese ore production, marking a 1% YoY increase, while sales reached 1.37 LMT, up 3% YoY. For April–November 2025-26, cumulative production rose to 12.69 LMT, reflecting an 8% growth over the previous year. CMD Ajit Kumar Saxena credited the achievement to strong teamwork and continuous improvement across the organisation, expressing confidence that the MOIL team will maintain this positive momentum in the coming months.

PESB Recommends Vishwanath Suresh as Next CMD of MOIL Limited

New Delhi. The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri Vishwanath Suresh for the position of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of MOIL Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Steel. The recommendation was made during the PESB meeting held on Saturday.

Shri Vishwanath Suresh is presently serving as Director (Commercial) at NMDC Limited. An alumnus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, he is a Metallurgical Engineer and also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing) along with a certificate in Advanced Strategic Management from IIM Kozhikode.

Before joining NMDC, Shri Suresh held key leadership roles at SAIL, including Executive Director (Coal Import) and additional charge of Executive Director (Corporate Materials Management). With over three decades of experience in the mining and manufacturing sectors, he has developed expertise in sales and marketing of steel in both domestic and international markets, procurement, strategic management, and policy formulation.

Known for his visionary commercial acumen, Shri Suresh has spearheaded multiple initiatives to enhance systems efficiency, drive sales growth, and strengthen revenue performance across organizations he has served.

MOIL starts exports of Manganese ore as State Trading Enterprise

MOIL marked a significant milestone in manganese ore exports from India with the dispatch of its first shipment of 54,600 tonnes of manganese ore fines from Visakhapatnam to Indonesia as a State Trading Enterprise(STE).

The Government of India has appointed MOIL as a STE for export of Manganese ore below 46% Mn grade from India. MOIL had put in place a mechanism in FY’24-25 for export of Mn

ore as per the Trade Policy, through which any exports of Mn ore from India are required to be routed through MOIL. The first consignment of the offered 54,600 tonne Mn ore from Vizag was shipped on 22nd August, 2025 to Indonesia by MOIL. Material is exported to foreign buyers by MOIL with a back-to-back arrangement with the domestic suppliers.

MOIL registers 17% growth in August achieving highest-ever production of 1.45 lakh tonnes

Nagpur: MOIL Limited has reported its best-ever August production, achieving 1.45 lakh tonnes in August 2025, a growth of 17 percent over the same month last year.

The company also posted strong sales performance, recording 1.13 lakh tonnes of sales during the month, up 25.6 percent year-on-year.For the five-month period of April to August 2025, MOIL registered its highest-ever cumulative production at 7.92 lakh tonnes, representing a 9.3 percent increase over the corresponding period of the previous year. The company also carried out 50,621 meters of exploratory drilling during the period, an 8.6 percent year-on-year rise, underscoring its focus on expanding future mining capacity.

Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena, Chairman and Managing Director of MOIL, commended the workforce for achieving these milestones despite challenging weather conditions. He highlighted the company’s sustained momentum in production and sales as a testament to the team’s commitment and operational efficiency.

Demonstrating strong operational resilience during April–July 2025, the company recorded a total production of 6.47 lakh tonnes (up 7.8% year-on-year), sales of 5.01 lakh tonnes (a 10.7% increase), and exploratory drilling of 43,215 meters (11.4% higher than last year).
