The Government has approved the appointment of Rajneesh Narain, currently Director (Finance) at Northern Coalfields Limited, as Director (Finance) of IRCTC on immediate absorption basis till June 2030 . Rajneesh Narain will assume charge as Director (Finance) of IRCTC with effect from the date he takes over the position. His tenure will continue until his superannuation on June 30, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

PESB Finds No Suitable Candidate for Director (Finance) Post at RVNL

The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) conducted selection interviews on December 17, 2025, for the post of Director (Finance) at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), which is currently vacant, but found none of the 10 candidates suitable for appointment. Following the outcome, PESB has advised the administrative ministry, the Ministry of Railways, to decide on the next course of action for filling the post, including considering the Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) route or any other appropriate mechanism, subject to approval of the competent authority.

NEW DELHI. Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri B. Mugunthan for appointment to the post of Director (Finance) at Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise.

The recommendation was made in PESB Meeting No. 120/2025, held on 15 December 2025 at 3:45 PM, while considering eligible candidates for the said position.

Shri B. Mugunthan is currently serving as Financial Adviser & Chief Accounts Officer (FA&CAO) in the Ministry of Railways and brings extensive experience in public finance, railway accounting, and large infrastructure project management.

New Delhi, 21st November 2025: Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd. (NSE: SERVOTECH), India’s leading manufacturer of advanced solar and clean-energy solutions, has been awarded a ₹16.31 crore ground mounted and rooftop on-grid solar project by Railway Energy Management Company Limited (REMCL), a Joint Venture of RITES Ltd. and Ministry of Railways.

As part of the contract, Servotech Renewable will undertake the Design, Engineering, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of both ground-mounted and rooftop solar power plants of multiple capacities, at the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) Complex in Noida. Additionally, the project includes 10 years of comprehensive Operation & Maintenance, ensuring consistent power generation and long-term system reliability. This achievement further strengthens Servotech’s footprint in India’s fast-growing railway and logistics infrastructure sector.

These solar installations will significantly support REMCL and DFCCIL’s goal of integrating renewable energy into core operational infrastructure, reducing dependence on conventional power sources, optimizing energy costs, and advancing India’s mission toward clean and sustainable industrial growth.

Coal Ministry Identifies 38 Priority Rail Projects Under Coal Logistics Plan

The Ministry of Coal has identified 38 priority rail projects under the coal logistics plan. The project will be fast-tracked in close coordination with the Ministry of Railways. The primary focus of the project is improving rail connectivity, ensuring timely coal supply, reducing logistics costs, and enhancing the overall efficiency of coal transportation across the country.

Among these projects, the government has recently approved two significant rail projects in Odisha. The Sardega-Bhalumuda double line will facilitate the evacuation of coal from mines operated by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and several private mines. Similarly, the Bargarh Road-Nawapara Road new single line will improve the coal evacuation from the Talcher Coalfield.

Govt Nominates Sanjay Kumar Jain As CMD Of IRCTC

The Ministry of Railways has entrusted Sanjay Kumar Jain to take additional charge as chairperson and managing director of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corp. The appointment, which is “pending approval of the competent authority,” comes after Seema Kumar, a member (operations and business development) of the Railway Board, relinquished the additional charge of the post on Jan. 9., according to an exchange filing on Tuesday.

Jain, who currently serves as the principal chief commercial manager of Northern Railway, will be appointed with effect from the date of assumption of charge till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
