										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI.</strong> Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), has assumed the additional charge of Chairman &amp; Managing Director (CMD). The Ministry of New &amp; Renewable Energy has entrusted him with the responsibility for a period of three months, or until a regular CMD is appointed or further orders are issued, whichever is earlier. He succeeds Pradip Kumar Das, who retired as CMD on June 30.</p>
<p>Dr. Mohanty has been serving as Director (Finance) since October 2023 and as Chief Financial Officer of IREDA shortly thereafter. With over 27 years of experience in the renewable energy and power sectors, he has held key positions at IREDA, REC Limited, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), CESCO, and GRIDCO. A highly qualified finance professional, he holds multiple postgraduate degrees, a law degree, and a Ph.D. in Commerce, and is widely recognised for his expertise in project financing, renewable energy, and power sector development.</p>

The prestigious recognition was presented during a special national event titled Two Years of PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana: Scaling the Solar Home to 1 Crore Rooftops, held in New Delhi. Shri Pralhad Joshi, the Honourable Minister of New and Renewable Energy, alongside Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, handed over the award to Shri Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director of REC Limited, celebrating the company&#8217;s crucial role in executing the project.</p>
<p>During the same high-profile event, Shri Jitendra Srivastava also participated in the official launch of the brand-new logo for the PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has launched a nationwide logo design contest for the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM), inviting all Indian citizens to participate. The initiative aims to engage creative minds in developing a logo that symbolizes India’s vision to become a global hub for green hydrogen production, usage, and export. The mission focuses on accelerating the decarbonisation of the economy, reducing dependence on fossil fuel imports, and promoting innovation and investment in green hydrogen technology across sectors like steel, transport, fertilizers, shipping, and petrochemicals.</p>
<p>Participants must submit original, high-quality designs in JPEG, PNG, or PDF formats (minimum 300 DPI, 15cm x 20cm) that capture the essence of sustainability, self-reliance, and clean energy. Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, simplicity, and relevance to NGHM’s goals. The winner will receive a ₹1,00,000 cash prize, a certificate of recognition, and reimbursement for domestic airfare to New Delhi, while ten runners-up will get ₹5,000 each.
