										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI.</strong> Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey, announced that the government has set a national target to achieve 100 Million Tonnes (MT) of coal gasification capacity by 2030 to strengthen India&#8217;s energy security. Currently, about 22.6 MT of capacity is already operational or being set up. To help reach the final goal, the government has approved a new ₹37,500 crore scheme designed to process an additional 75 MT of coal.</p>
<p>Through this initiative, the government is actively offering financial incentives and policy support to promote the conversion of coal into valuable resources like chemicals, methanol, and Synthetic Natural Gas.</p>

In its inaugural batch (2023–24), 39 out of 40 students qualified for NEET, followed by 31 out of 40 students in the second batch (2024–25). Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprises NLC India Limited and National Aluminium Company Limited have signed a Joint Venture agreement to establish a 1,080 MW coal-based captive thermal power plant at Angul, Odisha. The agreement was signed in the presence of Union Minister for Coal and Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy.</p>
<p>The project features a 4&#215;270 MW configuration and will be executed with an equal 50:50 equity participation. This strategic partnership ensures long-term power supply and advances integrated resource development. Key dignitaries attending the ceremony included Shri Sanoj Kumar Jha (Addl. Initially implemented by Coal India Limited subsidiaries including BCCL, CCL, SECL, and MCL, the initiative leverages existing township infrastructure to establish robust water purification facilities. BCCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Manoj Kumar Agarwal highlighted that the heavily subsidized program is designed to secure the health of mining communities, lessen dependence on private vendors, and ensure clean water never becomes a financial burden.</p>
