Domestic sales in August 2025 were at 26,201 units, as against 20,518 units in August 2024, reflecting a 28% year-on-year growth.

Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during August 2025 were at 28,117 units, as against 21,917 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,916 units.

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We sold 26,201 tractors in the domestic market during August 2025, a growth of 28% over last year. The above-normal monsoon and improved reservoir levels augur well not only for Kharif crops but also for the upcoming Rabi season in October. While the IMD’s forecast of surplus rainfall in September – especially in certain pockets – may pose risks to Kharif harvests, it needs to be managed with caution. All these factors, along with continued government support through financing schemes for farmers could potentially drive tractor demand during the upcoming festive season. In the exports market, we have sold 1,916 tractors, a growth of 37% over last year.”

Domestic sales in July 2025 were at 26,990 units, as against 25,587 units in July 2024, reflecting a 5% year-on-year growth.

Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during July 2025 were at 28,708 units, as against 27,209 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,718 units.

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We have sold 26,990 tractors in the domestic market during the month of July 2025, a growth of 5% over last year. This performance was driven by sustained land preparation activities, supported by robust cash flows in rural markets following the conclusion of Rabi crop harvesting. Additionally, the normal progression of monsoon across most regions further contributed to good demand during the onset of sowing for the Kharif season. In the exports market, we have sold 1,718 tractors, a growth of 6% over last year.”

Domestic sales in September 2024 were at 43201 units, as against 42034 units during September 2023.

Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during September 2024 were at 44256 units, as against 43210 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1055 units.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said “We have sold 43201 tractors in the domestic market during September, a growth of 3% over last year. Monsoon rainfall has seen an increase of 7.5% over LPA and this has helped increase in Kharif sowing of all crops except cotton. Reservoir levels have recovered very well and are now at 13% higher than LPA, which augurs very well for a bumper Rabi crop. On the back of good kharif crop and likely strong Rabi crop, rural sentiments are positive. With positive terms of trade for farmers and upcoming festivals, we expect robust demand for tractors going forward.   In the exports market, we have sold 1055 tractors.”
