Domestic sales in September 2025 were at 64,946 units, as against 43,201 units in September 2024, reflecting a 50% year-on-year growth, on account of the benefit of GST reduction to customers and preponement of Navratri to September this year compared to last year’s festive period.

Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during September 2025 were at 66,111 units, as against 44,256 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,165 units. 

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We have sold 64,946 tractors in the domestic market during September, a growth of 50% over last year. Honourable Prime Minister’s decision on the GST rate cut, has increased offtake in the first 9 days of Navratri which is in the month of September this year compared to October last year. This has been further supported by factors like a positive Kharif outlook, increase in the area sown this season and an above-normal monsoon.”

Domestic sales in August 2025 were at 26,201 units, as against 20,518 units in August 2024, reflecting a 28% year-on-year growth.

Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during August 2025 were at 28,117 units, as against 21,917 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,916 units.

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We sold 26,201 tractors in the domestic market during August 2025, a growth of 28% over last year. The above-normal monsoon and improved reservoir levels augur well not only for Kharif crops but also for the upcoming Rabi season in October. While the IMD’s forecast of surplus rainfall in September – especially in certain pockets – may pose risks to Kharif harvests, it needs to be managed with caution. All these factors, along with continued government support through financing schemes for farmers could potentially drive tractor demand during the upcoming festive season. In the exports market, we have sold 1,916 tractors, a growth of 37% over last year.”

Total tractor sales (Domestic + Exports) during July 2025 were at 28,708 units, as against 27,209 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,718 units.

Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We have sold 26,990 tractors in the domestic market during the month of July 2025, a growth of 5% over last year. This performance was driven by sustained land preparation activities, supported by robust cash flows in rural markets following the conclusion of Rabi crop harvesting. Additionally, the normal progression of monsoon across most regions further contributed to good demand during the onset of sowing for the Kharif season. In the exports market, we have sold 1,718 tractors, a growth of 6% over last year.”
