He highlighted the North East region’s potential for increased investment, improved infrastructure, and effective project implementation, encouraging CSR efforts to focus on equitable development. Shri Kumar also stressed the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving efficiency, creating jobs, and addressing social inequalities, particularly in tribal and rural areas. He urged CSR initiatives to prioritize education, skills development, and economic empowerment as critical enablers for sustainable national growth and a self-reliant workforce by 2047.

Delivering the welcome address, Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh, DG & CEO of IICA, highlighted the transformation of India’s CSR landscape toward community-driven, impact-oriented programs. He noted that CSR spending has surpassed the mandated 2% threshold, reflecting a growing commitment to social welfare. Shri Singh emphasized that CSR should go beyond financial contributions to include technology transfer, management support, and knowledge sharing, particularly in tribal communities. He also underlined the urgent need for capacity building within implementing agencies and reaffirmed IICA’s role in enabling corporates and partners to deliver sustainable, measurable, and long-term social impact aligned with the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

1 अक्टूबर, मानेसर। पटौदी के विधायक सत्यप्रकाश जरावता ने रविवार को मानेसर नगर निगम की ओर से आयोजित स्वच्छता ही सेवा कार्यक्रम में शामिल होकर एक घंटे का श्रमदान दिया। विधायक ने मानेसर के आईएमटी चौक व आसपास के क्षेत्र में सफाई करके राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी को स्वच्छांजलि अर्पित की। विधायक ने कहा कि सफाई एक निरंतर चलने वाली प्रक्रिया है,इसे हमें दैनिक जीवन का हिस्सा बनाना चाहिए। सफाई को अपनी आदत में शामिल करके ही हम अपने आसपास को स्वच्छ रख सकते है। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति यदि सफाई को अपनी नैतिक जिम्मेदारी समझे तो चारों और सफाई रहेगी।

स्वच्छता ही सेवा कार्यक्रम में उनके साथ मानेसर नगर निगम के आयुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग, संयुक्त आयुक्त दिनेश कुमार, एनएसजी के ग्रुप कमांडर जेपी मैथानी, स्क्वाड्रन कमांडर राजन सिंह, स्क्वाड्रन कमांडर सुमेर सिंह गुर्जर, महेंद्र सिंह, टीम कमांडर रजत पी, कर्नल पर्वत सिंह, नेहरू युवा केंद्र के डायरेक्टर कृष्ण लाल परीचा, ब्लू प्लांट ऑर्गनाइजेशन से कृष्ण कुमार, हरीश, शिव, शशि यादव, ओपी यादव, सुशीला शरण पुनिया, डॉक्टर सत्या सहाय, शिखा सिंह, नगर निगम की एसबीएम कंसल्टेंट जेनिथ चौधरी ,ब्लू जोन एंबेसडर अयाना  चौधरी  सहित पूर्व पंचायत सदस्य व एनएसजी के करीब 100 कर्मचारी व अधिकारी भी मौजूद रहे।

अपने संबोधन में विधायक सत्यप्रकाश जरावता ने कहा कि साल 2014 में प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने स्वच्छता के लिए संदेश दिया। जिसका देश के प्रत्येक नागरिकों ने स्वागत किया। उसी दिन से स्वच्छता को एक अभियान के तौर पर मनाया जाने लगा। आमलोगों ने सक्रियता दिखाते हुए अपने आस-पास कूड़े और गंदगी को न केवल साफ किया,बल्कि इधर-उधर कूड़ा डालने वाले लोगों को ऐसा न करने का संदेश भी दिया। विधायक ने कहा कि सफाई का काम बहुत ही जिम्मेदारी का काम है। वर्तमान सरकार ने सफाई कर्मियों को स्वच्छता सैनिक का नाम दिया और इन कर्मचारियों को न्यूनतम वेतन देने के साथ मान-सम्मान भी दिया। सफाई कर्मचारियों का आह्वान करते हुए कहा कि कोई भी काम छोटा या बड़ा नहीं होता। इस दौरान अपने संबोधन में आयुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग ने कहा कि सफाई कर्मचारियों के काम को महत्व मिलना चाहिए। कोरोना काल में जब पूरा देश बंद हो गया था, तो केवल सफाई कर्मचारी ही अपने काम को पूरी ईमानदारी के साथ निभा रहे थे। आंकड़े बताते है कि सामान्य लोगों की तुलना में सफाई कर्मियों को एलर्जी और दमा ज्यादा होता है। जिस कारण उनकी मृत्यु तक हो जाती है, लेकिन अपनी जान की परवाह किए बगैर वे सैनिक की तरह अपने कर्तव्यों का निर्वहन करते है। इस दौरान एनएसजी के ग्रुप कमांडर जेपी मैथानी ने भी अपने संबोधन में कहा कि आज पूरे देश में श्रमदान दिवस मनाया जा रहा है। सफाई रोजमर्रा की जरूरत है। इसे केवल एक दिन न चलाकर बल्कि इसे अपनी दिनचर्या में शामिल किया जाना चाहिए।

बता दें कि मानेसर नगर निगम की ओर से रविवार को नगर निगम क्षेत्र में करीब 60 जगहों पर श्रमदान दिवस मनाया गया। इस दौरान नगर निगम के प्रत्येक अधिकारी व कर्मचारियों की ड्यूटी निर्धारित की गई। प्रत्येक गांव या वाॅर्ड स्तर पर जनप्रतिनिधों को भी शामिल किया गया। स्वच्छता ही सेवा पखवाड़े का समापन सोमवार को गांव नौरंगपुर वाटिका में होगा। इस दौरान विधायक सत्यप्रकाश जरावता व नगर निगम के आयुक्त व संयुक्त आयुक्त सफाई कर्मचारियों को सम्मानित भी करेंगे।

“As people around the world, including nearly four million (40 lakh) proud Indian-Americans, celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence on August 15, the United States joins the people of India to honour its democratic journey, guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s enduring message of truth and non-violence,” Biden said in a statement.

“This year, we also celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our great democracies. India and the United States are indispensable partners, and the US-India Strategic Partnership is grounded in our shared commitment to the rule of law and the promotion of human freedom and dignity,” he said.

He said the partnership between the two nations is further strengthened by the deep bonds between their people.

“The vibrant Indian-American community in the United States has made us a more innovative, inclusive, and stronger nation,” Biden said.

“I am confident that in the years ahead our two democracies will continue to stand together to defend the rules-based order; foster greater peace, prosperity and security for our people; advance a free and open Indo-Pacific; and together address the challenges we face around the world,” Biden said.

In a separate statement, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken greeted the people of India as they celebrated 75 years of independence on August 15.

The book titled ‘Veer Savarkar Kitne Veer? (Veer Savarkar, How Brave?)’ was distributed among volunteers during the inauguration of the Seva Dal national training camp in Bhopal’s Bairagarh on Thursday.

The book claims that Savarkar was in a relationship with Godse and says that he had exhorted men to rape women of minority communities. It also blames RSS and Savarkar for the partition of the country in 1947.
While quoting an instance mentioned in Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins’s book ‘Freedom at Midnight’, the booklet claims, “Prior to adopting Brahmacharya, there is only one mention of Godse’s physical relationship. He had a homosexual relationship with his political mentor Veer Savarkar.”

Page 14 of the booklet also claims, “Savarkar also used to exhort Hindu men to rape minority women.” The booklet also laid blame on Savarkar for coming up with the two-nation theory, which sowed the seeds of partition.

“Savarkar and his friends used to dance in jubilation whenever they learnt about Muslims getting killed in communal riots,” the booklet reads.

In a second booklet, titled ‘RSS aur BJP, Kuchh Tathya aur Jankari (RSS and BJP, Some Facts and Information)’ the Seva Dal claims that the organisation from the outset derived inspiration from fascism and Nazism. “RSS always idolised noted dictators –Hitler and Mussolini, the dictators of 1930s and 1940s,” the booklet reads.

BJP spokesperson Rajneesh Agrawal hit out at Congress over the contents of the booklet saying that the party often distorts and spread misinformation. On charges of the RSS following Hitler and Mussolini, Agrawal said the RSS came into existence in 1925.

Poverty of the body means a very poor standard of living where even basic needs cannot be met. There is problem in providing for water, food, health, sanitation, livelihoods, and/or education.

Gandhi said, “the world has enough to provide for everyone’s need, but not everyone’s greed.”

It is the responsibility of the rich to ensure dignity of life to the poor. Because we are only trustees of our wealth, not owners. We will have to pay for the sins of not taking care of the poor. We can’t escape.

Then, there is a 2nd type of poverty. Poverty of the mind. Here, the mind feels bankrupt without any passion to live, and engulfed with the dark clouds of depression, and anxiety. The practise of human values can clear these dark clouds and give a vision into the clear sky.
