THDC India Limited’s 1320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Project (KSTPP) recorded an impressive Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 85.27% during FY 2025–26, reflecting strong operational efficiency. CMD Shri Sipan Kumar Garg congratulated the team, highlighting their dedication and performance-driven approach. The project generated a total of 6,496 million units of power, with Unit-1 contributing 4,997.11 MU and Unit-2 contributing 1,498.90 MU. The station maintained efficient parameters, including auxiliary power consumption of 6.61%, specific oil consumption of 0.4 ml/kWh, and coal consumption of 0.52 kg/kWh. Additionally, the successful commissioning of the Signaling and Telecommunication system for the private railway siding on March 31, 2026, marked a key milestone, with ED (Projects) Shri Kumar Sharad commending the team for their commitment to operational excellence.

]]> Sh. R. K. Vishnoi,CMD  of THDC India Limited, announced that the Coal Handling Plant (CHP) at the Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant (STPP) has begun operations, marked by the successful dispatch of the first rake of coal from the Amelia Coal Mine. The CHP at Khurja STPP is equipped with a Stacker Reclaimer capable of handling 1600 Metric Tons Per Hour (MTPH) and features a stockyard with a storage capacity of 300,000 metric tons. This stockpile is designed to meet the coal requirements of the plant’s two units for approximately 20 days. An initial 40,000 tonnes of coal have been stacked to facilitate testing for Unit #1, with full synchronization expected by September 2024.

Sh. Vishnoi also noted that the Amelia Coal Mines in Madhya Pradesh, which supply fuel to THDCIL’s first Thermal Power Project, dispatched its first coal shipment to Khurja STPP on August 5, 2024. The Amelia Coal Mines started operations on November 17, 2022, and began coal production ahead of schedule on February 18, 2023. Since then, approximately 2.5 million tonnes of coal have been sent to various plants, including NTPC Limited. Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), and Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical) of THDC India Limited, praised the teams involved for their commitment and excellence, emphasizing the importance of these achievements in ensuring reliable and efficient energy production.
