										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>GURGRAM.</strong> REC Foundation, has signed a MoA with the Kaziranga Tiger Conservation Foundation (KTCF) to support critical conservation initiatives in Kaziranga National Park &amp; Tiger Reserve.</p>
<p>Under the agreement, REC Foundation will provide a CSR grant of ₹5.43 crore to fund the installation of solar power plants and Reverse Osmosis (RO) drinking-water systems at multiple anti-poaching camps throughout the park. The initiative will supply clean, reliable energy and safe drinking water to frontline forest personnel, reducing dependence on fossil-fuel generators and single-use plastic bottles, while lowering the park’s carbon footprint.</p>
<p>The MoA was formally signed by Ms. Sonali Ghosh, IFS, Field Director, Kaziranga National Park &amp; Tiger Reserve and Chairperson, KTCF, and Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director, REC Foundation, in the presence of Shri Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman &amp; Managing Director, REC Limited.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The rising floodwater level in Assam has put the life of wild animals of Kaziranga National Park, Manas National Park and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in danger and many wild animals are now moving out of the Kaziranga National Park to save their lives. Government sources said that about 80 per cent of the Kaziranga National Park and 95 camps are totally submerged under floodwater.</p>

<p>Several photos have surfaced on social media in which one-horned rhinoceros, elephants and other wild animals can be seen at an elevated area following floods due to incessant rain in Kaziranga National Park. It is to be noted that Kaziranga National Park is spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra river, which is currently flowing above the danger level.</p>
<p>Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) said that 37 people have lost their lives due to flood and landslides in the state. The ASDMA released a statement saying that total 4,128 villages in 103 revenue circles of 28 districts have been affected due to floods till Thursday.</p>
<p>The statement added that around 53,52,107 people have been affected due to flood across the state.  The displaced people have taken shelter in 427 relief camps and 392 relief distribution centres set up by state government in different districts of the state</p>

<div class="vide stuck">The Brahmaputra river is flowing above the danger level in Jorhat, Tezpur, Guwahati, Goalpara and Dhubri along with rivers Burhidehing at Khowang in Dibrugarh district, Subansiri river at Badatighat in Lakhimpur, Dhansiri river at at Numaligarh in Golaghat district, Jia Bharali river at Sonitpur, Kopili river at Kampur and Dharamtul in Nagaon district.</div>
