<p>Meanwhile Maharashtra Finance Minister Ajit Pawar has announced 60% cut in March salaries of public representatives, including the CM. Salaries of Grade A and B officers will be deducted by 50% and that of Grade C employees, by 25%. No deduction in the salary of Grade D employees: Maharashtra Deputy CM and state Finance Minister Ajit Pawar.</p>
<p>Indian cricket star Rohit Sharma donates Rs 80 lakh for coronavirus fight. Rohit Sharma has donated Rs 45 lakh to PM&#8217;s Relief Fund, Rs 25 lakh to Maharashtra CM&#8217;s Relief Fund and Rs 5 lakh each to the organisations &#8216;Feeding India&#8217; and &#8216;Welfare of Stray Dogs&#8217;.</p>
<p>Actress Anushka Sharma, her cricketer-husband Virat Kohli have pledged their support to the PM CARES fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister&#8217;s relief fund. However, they chose not to disclose the amount.</p>
<p>Filmmaker Karan Johar, actor Sonam Kapoor, Ayushman Khurrana and few others also pledged support but did not say how much they were donating.</p>
<p>Sachin Tendulkar donated Rs 25 lakh each to the Prime Minister&#8217;s Relief Fund and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra&#8217;s Relief Fund.</p>
<p>Cricketer Suresh Raina donated Rs 31 lakh to PM-CARES Fund and Rs 21 lakh to UP CM&#8217;s Disaster Relief Fund to combat coronavirus.</p>
<p>Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar announced that he will be donating Rs 25 crore to PM-CARES.<br />
Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has contributed Rs 1 crore to Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s PM-Cares fund.</p>
<p>Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will extend help to 25,000-odd daily wage workers of the film industry whose lives have been affected by the ongoing national lockdown. Salman&#8217;s contribution will aid the artistes of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), said the body&#8217;s president BN Tiwari.</p>
<p>Varun Dhawan pledged Rs 30 lakh to PM-CARES Fund and Rs 25 lakh to Maharashtra CM&#8217;s relief fund.<br />
Actor Shilpa Shetty, along with her husband Raj Kundra, pledged to donate Rs 21 lakhs to PM-CARES.<br />
Bhushan Kumar, who heads film studio T-Series, said he will donate Rs 11 crore.</p>
<p>TV host and actor Maniesh Paul said he will donate Rs 20 lakh and Murad Khetani, the producer of 2019 blockbuster &#8220;Kabir Singh&#8221;, pledged Rs 25 lakh to PM-CARES and another 25 lakhs to the Maharashtra Relief Fund designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has pledged to give Rs 1 crore of his personal funds to the Prime Minister&#8217;s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) along with Rs 50 lakhs to Chief Minster of West Bengal&#8217;s Relief Fund.</p>

<p>Adani Foundation has contributed Rs 100 crore to the PM CARES Fund for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.</p>
<p>Tata Sons and Tata Trusts have pledged to contribute Rs 1,500 crore for the cause while Reliance Industries had made an initial contribution of Rs 5 crore besides opening India&#8217;s first COVID-19 hospital in Mumbai.</p>
<p>The JSW Group said it will extend a financial assistance of Rs 100 crore to combat the deadly virus.<br />
Engineering and construction giant Larsen &amp; Toubro announced Rs 150 crore donation to the PM-CARES Fund it has set aside over Rs 500 crore per month to support about 1.60 lakh contract workers.</p>
<p>TVS Motor Company said it will donate Rs 25 crore to the PM&#8217;s Relief Fund for battle against COVID-19 pandemic.</p>
<p>The Sajjan Jindal-led group will provide equipment to healthcare workers and its employees will donate one day&#8217;s salary.</p>
<p>Anand Mahindra of the Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Group had offered to provide Mahindra resorts as care facilities for those infected. The Mahindra Group is also working on making ventilators for Covid-19 infected patients.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation about corona virus pandemic and how India was dealing with it, a host of Bollywood celebrities came together to share precautions that can stop the spread of the disease.</p>
<p>Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shilpa Shetty, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit and Varun Dhawan were among the celebs who spoke about precautions people need to take in the video made by Rohit Shetty’s production house.</p>
<p>According to reports, 206 cases of coronavirus have been reported in India till Fridy morning.</p>
<p>Actor Kartik Aaryan took to social media to deliver a ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnaama’ style monologue about the importance of social distancing in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Aaryan was not the only celebrity to talk about being cautious against the pandemic but stood out with his style. The actor, who shot to fame with his monologues, made a fervent appeal to his fans to heed the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who during an address to the nation on Thursday evening urged people to stay at home.</p>
<p>Celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan also took to social media to applaud Prime Minister’s statement on janta curfew on Sunday. “ I applaud all fellow countrymen who work tirelessly to keep the essential services operational in such extenuating circumstances ..BE ONE, BE SAFE, BE IN PRECAUTION!,” megastar Bachchan tweeted.</p>
<p>“Fellow Indians, Namaskar. A short while ago, Our PM Saab, Modiji, requested all of us to show resolve &amp; restraint in the face of COVID-19. Please also adhere to the Janta Curfew on 22nd March by staying home. Stay Safe @PMOIndia @narendramodi #JantaCurfew,” Ajay Devgn tweeted. “The assuring words &amp; calm demeanor of our leader honourable PM @narendramodi Ji gave me comfort. I pledge to follow your instructions Sir, and my respect to all the silent heroes for their relentless work in public interest,” said Hrithik.</p>
<p>Akshay, whose film Sooryavanshi has been pushed due to the coronavirus scare, also hailed the PM’s speech. “An excellent initiative by PM @narendramodi ji&#8230;this Sunday, March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm let’s all join in the #JantaCurfew and show the world we are together in this. #SocialDistancing,” he wrote. “Imp initiative by our Honorable PM @narendramodi with #jantacurfew Self-inflicted Quarantine and Staying at HOME on Sunday, March 22 from 7 AM to 9 PM is a measured and sensible way to protect from this pandemic by not creating panic yet acknowledging the gravity of the situation,” Johar tweeted.</p>

<p>The film happens to be the remake of 1978 classic of the same name &#8216;Pati Patni Aur Woh&#8217; starring late veteran actor Sanjeev Kumar, late actress Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur in lead roles.<br />
Pati Patni Aur Woh remake is produced by Bhushan Kumar. This is the first time that the lead trio has joined forces for a project.</p>
<p>The film opened in theatres on December 6, 2019, and clashed with Ashutosh Gowariker&#8217;s &#8216;Panipat&#8217; starring Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt.</p>
<p>It will be interesting to see how the film fares at the Box Office in the coming days as Salman Khan&#8217;s &#8216;Dabangg 3&#8217; will hit the screens on December 20 while Rani Mukerji&#8217;s &#8216;Mardaani 2&#8217; is releasing on December 13, 2019.</p>

The film stars Bhumi Pednekar, Ananya Panday and Aparshakti Khurana alongside Kartik.</p>
<p>A Boxofficeindia <a title="report claimed " href="https://boxofficeindia.com/report-details.php?articleid=5690" rel="nofollow">report claimed </a>that the remake of the 1978 BR Chopra film made Rs 13.5-14 crore on Sunday, a slight jump from its Rs 12.33 crore collection on the second day.</p>
<p>Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had earlier tweeted figures for the first two days of the film’s box office performance. “#PatiPatniAurWoh hits the bull’s eye&#8230; Witnesses all-round growth on Day 2&#8230; Wins over youngistaan as well as family audience, metros as well as mass markets&#8230; Eyes ₹ 36 cr [+/-] total in its *opening weekend*&#8230; Fri 9.10 cr, Sat 12.33 cr. Total: ₹ 21.43 cr. India biz,” he tweeted.</p>
<p>Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is a remake of the 1978 film of the same name that starred Ranjeeta, Vidya Sinha and Sanjeev Kumar in lead roles.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor-starrer Panipat performed slightly better at the box office on Sunday, with an estimated earning of Rs 7.5-8 crore on the third day of the release, the report added. The film stands at a Rs 17.9 crore total in three days.</p>
<p>Taran had shared details of box office performance of the Ashutosh Gowariker directorial. “#Panipat shows an upward trend on Day 2&#8230; #Maharashtra [#Mumbai circuit especially] is performing best&#8230; Needs to cover lost ground on Day 3, especially in circuits with strong presence of multiplexes&#8230; Fri 4.12 cr, Sat 5.78 cr.
