NEW DELHI. Some corporate partnerships extend far beyond official agreements to become powerful statements of national purpose. Driven by the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to integrate wellness into daily life, SCOPE and India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) joined hands for the second consecutive year to celebrate the International Day of Yoga at The Ashoka, New Delhi. This event marked a growing tradition, moving past the idea of an annual ritual to signal a deeply rooted commitment to embedding holistic health and mindfulness across the entire Public Sector Enterprise ecosystem.

The grand celebration transformed the venue into a vibrant space of calm and collective energy, drawing hundreds of participants who gathered to practice in unison. The high-profile session saw enthusiastic participation from top dignitaries, including Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism; Shri Atul Sobti, DG SCOPE; and Smt. Mugdha Sinha, MD ITDC. They were joined on the mat by senior leaders from the Government and various public sector bodies, turning the corporate wellness initiative into a living example of ‘Jan Bhagidari’—collective people’s participation in building a stronger nation.

This sustained collaboration highlights a significant shift in how India’s public sector operates. Beyond driving infrastructure projects and meeting aggressive business targets, leading PSUs are increasingly investing in the physical and mental well-being of their workforces. By expanding their traditional roles, SCOPE and ITDC are demonstrating that modern public enterprises are no longer just engines of economic growth, but also active custodians of national health, pride, and cultural heritage.

True leadership demands more than strategy and financial metrics; it requires a resilient mind, a focused spirit, and a workspace culture that prioritizes people. SCOPE and ITDC have chosen to lead by example, proving that a mindful workforce is a vital catalyst for a progressive nation. As these public sector giants bring this collective energy off the yoga mats and directly into corporate boardrooms, they pave the way for sustainable development and long-term economic growth rooted in health and harmony.
