o 2 RTM Cards allow teams to reacquire players from their Season 2 squads by matching bids

Bengaluru, December 1, 2025: The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), India’s pioneering tennis-ball T10 tournament, announced that the player auction for Season 3 will be held on December 9 in Mumbai, as the excitement and anticipation for yet another blockbuster season builds up. 408 players from 101 cities will go under the hammer as eight franchises prepare to build their squads for a bigger, better and bolder edition of the league. The Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat will play host to Season 3 which gets underway from January 9 to February 6, 2026.

A total of 400 players have been shortlisted following rigorous trials, including 30 under-19 talents. In addition, each of the eight teams will choose one player as their scout pick from the existing Season 3 registered pool to be included in the auction, expanding the overall pool size to 408.

Players will be divided into six categories: U-19, West Zone, East Zone, Central Zone, South Zone and North Zone. Each player will enter the auction with a base price of ₹3 lakh. In a major boost, the purse has been increased from ₹1 crore to ₹1.5 crore, while the squad size expanded from 16 to 18. Adding further tactical depth, franchises will be able to use the “Googly Power”, a unique veto mechanism that allows a sudden bid jump of ₹1 lakh during high-intensity bidding battles. The six teams from last season will have two RTM cards each, allowing them to match the highest bid on their Season 2 players and reacquire them during the auction.

Franchise owners can bid without any maximum limit for any player, and each team must select a minimum of two players from each zone including retained players. Squads must also feature at least two U-19 players, with one U-19 player and one player from each zone required to be part of the playing XI in every match. Additionally, all 18 squad members must play at least one match during Season 3.

ISPL is backed by a strong leadership group featuring Core Committee Members Sachin Tendulkar, Ashish Shelar, Minal Amol Kale and Suraj Samat, whose collective vision has been central to the league’s rapid rise, scale and popularity.

Sachin Tendulkar, ISPL Core Committee Member, said: “Season 3 of the ISPL is another important step for grassroots cricket in India. Each year, we see new faces and strong talent coming through from different parts of the country. This auction is a key moment for players because it gives them a fair platform to be noticed. I am keen to see how these youngsters approach the challenge and make the most of the opportunity in front of them.”

Ashish Shelar, ISPL Core Committee Member, said: “The response to Season 3 has been remarkable, especially with players coming from 101 different cities across India. The diversity of talent this year is truly exceptional, with players coming from across the country with equal passion and ambition. It demonstrates the scale at which ISPL has grown and the trust it has earned in our country. I am confident that Season 3 will set new benchmarks in competitiveness and inclusivity.”

Minal Amol Kale, ISPL Core Committee Member, said: “The excitement leading into this auction is incredibly high, especially with the number of exciting talent who impressed during trials. As the league expands, so does the opportunity for these players to become household names and inspire future generations. Fans can expect intense bidding, exciting team combinations and plenty of surprises when the hammer goes down. I can’t wait to watch which new stars rise through this platform and capture the imagination of the country.”

Suraj Samat, ISPL Core Committee Member and League Commissioner, said: “This year’s auction has been designed to reflect the highest professional standards, in line with the league’s growing stature. From the structured bidding order to the introduction of the ‘Googly Power,’ every element has been created to ensure transparency, fairness and strategic depth. The enthusiasm shown by franchises during the trials indicates how seriously they are preparing for the season. We have also invested heavily in technology, analytics and operations to deliver an auction experience that matches global best practices. With an expanded purse and larger squads, teams have more flexibility than ever before. The quality of talent available this year has raised expectations across all franchises. I am looking forward to a fierce contest and a tournament that pushes the boundaries of grassroots cricket.”

In a move that has captured attention across the country, ISPL had revealed that the season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) will take home a brand-new Porsche 911, one of the most prestigious rewards in India’s franchise sports landscape.

ISPL’s growing stature is also reflected in its expansion, with Delhi Superheros (Salman Khan) and Ahmedabad Lions (Ajay Devgn) joining the roster this season. They will feature alongside defending champions Majhi Mumbai (Amitabh Bachchan), Tiigers of Kolkata (Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan), Srinagar Ke Veer (Akshay Kumar), Chennai Singams (Suriya), Bengaluru Strikers (Hrithik Roshan) and Falcon Risers Hyderabad (Ram Charan).

With the introduction of a new retention policy allowing each franchise to retain one player, the Season 3 Auction is expected to be even more strategic and intensely competitive.

Bengaluru, October 7, 2025: As the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), India’s pioneering tennis-ball T10 tournament, gears up for another electrifying season, player trials for Season 3 officially began on Sunday and will be conducted across 101 cities until November 5.

After two highly successful seasons, the ISPL is going bigger and bolder this time. With trials stretching across 101 cities, nearly double the 55 from Season 2, the league continues to deepen its national footprint and tap into cricketing talent from every corner of the country.

ISPL Season 3, featuring eight teams, is set to take place in Surat from January 9 to February 6, 2026, with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season set to drive home a brand-new Porsche 911, adding an exciting new dimension to player recognition and motivation.

From major metro hubs like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata to smaller towns such as Ambikapur, Rameswaram, Latur, Karnal, Ayodhya, Chandrapur, Ratnagiri, Satna and Bilaspur, the trials’ diverse locations ensure that cricketers nationwide have the chance to showcase their skills.

Suraj Samat, Core Committee Member and League Commissioner, ISPL, said, “ISPL Season 3 is a landmark chapter, showing how the league has scaled in ambition and reach. With trials in 101 cities and an expanded squad size, we are committed to giving every talented player, whether from big cities or remote regions, a fair shot. Over 4.4 million registrations reflect the growing excitement and reach of the league.”

Dipak Chauhan, President – Operations, said, “Expanding the ISPL trials to 101 cities is a strong reflection of our commitment to providing opportunities to talent from all parts of the country. This wider reach allows us to discover and support players at the grassroots level. Our team has worked diligently to ensure the trials are well-organised, transparent and accessible to all.”

Pravin Amre, Head of Selection Committee, ISPL, said, “At ISPL, our priority is to ensure that every player is evaluated fairly and consistently. By maintaining standards throughout the trials, we aim to identify those with true potential, players who will not only excel in Season 3 but also grow to shine on the national stage.”

Jatin Paranjpe, Head of Selection Committee, ISPL, said, “Every trial is an opportunity to mentor and guide aspiring cricketers. Beyond assessing talent, our goal is to support players in their growth, helping them develop the skills, confidence and mindset needed to succeed in ISPL and beyond. We are focused on nurturing the next generation of stars and ensuring that every player’s journey is valued and encouraged.”

This season, ISPL has received more than 4.4 million player registrations. The multi-stage trials process has been structured to ensure fairness, transparency and accessibility. All registered players receive a Golden Ticket for the City Trials. Selected players from the trials will receive a Green Ticket, advancing them to the Simulation Matches. Players who make the final shortlist of 450 will earn the coveted Blue Ticket, securing their place in the Season 3 Player Auction pool.

Adding an innovative dimension this year, ISPL has introduced Home Trials, where selectors visit the home cities of talented players to conduct trials, providing exceptional talent with an opportunity to shine, regardless of their location or access to facilities. To further elevate the competition, the league has expanded the squad size to 18 players per team, with the mandatory inclusion of two under-19 players, creating more opportunities for talented cricketers.

ISPL boasts a star-studded roster of celebrity team owners, including Salman Khan (New Delhi franchise), Ajay Devgn (Ahmedabad Lions), Amitabh Bachchan (Majhi Mumbai), Saif Ali Khan & Kareena Kapoor Khan (Tiigers of Kolkata), Akshay Kumar (Srinagar Ke Veer), Suriya (Chennai Singams), Hrithik Roshan (Bengaluru Strikers) and Ram Charan (Falcon Risers Hyderabad).

Shri. Sachin Tendulkar, ISPL Core Committee Member, said: “ISPL has evolved beyond being just a league; it has become a movement that is changing the way we identify and nurture cricketing talent in India. This expansion strengthens the foundation of grassroots cricket and I’m confident that the impact will be felt across the country.”

Shri. Ashish Shelar, Core Committee Member, added: “I see ISPL as a transformative initiative. It is helping shape the future of cricket by giving talent a platform to rise. A new venue for the league also reflects our commitment to growing the game beyond traditional centres and taking it to regions where the passion for cricket runs deep. The Zonal Institutional Model we are introducing is a forward-looking step. It will build a strong, structured system for identifying and developing talent at the grassroots level, not just for ISPL, but for Indian cricket as a whole.”

Minal Amol Kale, Core Committee Member, said: “With every new season, ISPL is breaking barriers, telling new stories and giving deserving voices a place to shine. Season 3 is our most ambitious yet and it represents the heart of what this league is truly about. With Surat hosting Season 3, we are continuing our mission to take cricket back to its roots, empowering untapped communities and transforming local playgrounds into national stages.”

Suraj Samat, League Commissioner, shared: “In just three seasons, we’ve evolved from a bold idea into a movement that’s redefining the grassroots sports ecosystem in India. The introduction of the Porsche 911 as the MVP Award is more than just a headline; it’s a message. Much like when Ravi Shastri won an Audi for his performance in 1985, this is about inspiring players to dream big and push their limits. We want every youngster watching or playing in ISPL to believe that world-class rewards are within their reach if they bring passion, discipline, and performance to the game.”

Ajay Devgn, owner of the Ahmedabad franchise, said: “Cricket is a game that unites everyone and ISPL truly captures that raw, real spirit. Ahmedabad has always given me immense love and support. Just like cinema, cricket is a cultural phenomenon here and I know there’s so much untapped talent waiting to show their hard work and skill. Through our team in ISPL, I hope we can bring new heroes to the forefront. Sport has the power to change lives and I’m looking forward to see the action unfold in Season 3.”

The league also launched the official documentary, ‘Rise of ISPL’, which chronicles its inspiring journey from local streets to national stadiums.

ISPL boasts a star-studded roster of team owners, with new additions Salman Khan (New Delhi franchise) and Ajay Devgn (Ahmedabad franchise) joining a line-up of superstars and legends: Amitabh Bachchan (Majhi Mumbai), Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan (Tiigers of Kolkata), Akshay Kumar (Srinagar Ke Veer), Suriya (Chennai Singams), Hrithik Roshan (Bangalore Strikers), and Ram Charan (Falcon Risers Hyderabad).

The Season 3 trials will begin on October 5th, 2025 onwards and will take place across 101 cities.

ISPL has expanded the squad size to 18 players per team, with the mandatory inclusion of two under-19 players, creating more opportunities for emerging talent across the country. Additionally, the team purse has been increased by 50%, now set at ₹1.5 crore, giving franchises greater flexibility to build stronger, more competitive squads.

Bengaluru, February 12: The second season of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) has finally reached its business end with the top four teams from the league stages gearing up for the knockouts, that starts with the first qualifier between table toppers Majhi Mumbai and second-placed Falcon Risers Hyderabad at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium here on Wednesday.

Srinagar Ke Veer and KVN Bangalore Strikers are the two other teams to have made their way into the top four stages.

Having finished the inaugural ISPL season as the runners-up, Majhi Mumbai appeared to have approached the second season with a mission to complete unfinished business, and enjoyed a flawless run in their first eight games before a minor blip in the ninth, saw them going down to Srinagar Ke Veer. The Mumbai outfit, however, managed to get their act together in the final league stage game to eventually finish on top of the points table with nine wins out of their 10 games.

Mumbai’s march to the top of the table has been a result of collective effort from the likes of Rajat Mundhe, who finished the league stage as the second-highest run-getter with 251 runs to his name, and the pair of Abhishek Kumar Dalhor and Ankur Singh, finding themselves in the 1-2 position among the highest wicket-takers, with 19 and 15 scalps, respectively.

The trio will be expected to play a key role in the first qualifier as the winner between Majhi Mumbai and Falcon Risers Hyderabad will earn a direct ticket to the final.

Meanwhile, for the Hyderabad outfit, that has blown hot and cold through the season, and eventually ended the league stage with six wins from 10 games, the onus will be on star opener Kisan Satpute to bring his A game into play. Among their bowlers, Vicky Bhoir ended the league stage on the third place with 13 scalps, while Parveen Kumar’s 12 wickets kept them at the fifth spot.

Following the first qualifier, Srinagar and Bangalore will lock horns in the Eliminator on Thursday, with the winner taking on the loser of the first qualifier, in the second qualifier, scheduled for Friday.

All eyes will be on the in-form Sagar Ali, who has been instrumental in guiding the Srinagar side to the top four after finishing the league stage as the highest run-getter, notching up 372 runs, with a highest score of 52. Sahil Longale has been another consistent force with the ball for the Srinagar side, that finished third with five wins from 10 outings. Sahil has so far amassed 12 scalps to find himself on the fourth spot among the highest wicket-takers.

KVN Bangalore Strikers narrowly managed to make it to the top four, despite being the most inconsistent of all the other sides. While none of their batters or bowlers found themselves among the top five performers in the league stages, they will bank on the duo of Krushna Pawar and Irfan Patel to see them through to the second qualifier.

All matches are LIVE on Star Sports 1 (TV) and Disney+ Hotstar (OTT).

Bengaluru, February 05, 2025: Chennai Singams dominated Falcon Risers Hyderabad in a rather one-sided Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) encounter at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium here on Tuesday, coasting to a seven-wicket victory.

Chasing a target of 65 runs, the Singams broke little sweat as they eased across the finishing line with 2.5 overs to spare.

Opener Ketan Mhatre laid the foundation of the successful chase, blowing away the Hyderabad bowling attack with a batting blitzkrieg which saw him plunder 35 runs off a mere 12 deliveries, smashing a couple of boundaries and four towering hits into the stands along the way.

After Mhatre’s dismissal, fellow opener Jagannath Sarkar led the Chennai innings with 23 runs off 17 deliveries before Prashant Gharat brought up the victory in style with a boundary.

Earlier, electing to bowl first, Chennai saw their decision pay rich dividends almost instantly as Anurag Sarshar dismissed Prabjot Singh in the very first over.

With Liton Sarkar joining star opener Kisan Satpute at the crease, the duo started the daunting task of bringing the innings back on track and help Hyderabad recover from the disastrous start. They stitched together a partnership of 28 runs before Kisan misread the bounce of a delivery by Venkatachalapathi Vignesh only to see the lower edge crash into the stumps.

Sarkar emerged as the top scorer for the Falcons with 18 runs off 13 deliveries while Kisan got 10 off 12. Vishwajit Thakur (11) and Parveen Kumar (10) also played useful knocks lower down the order to take the Falcons to 64-9 in their 10 overs.

Mohammad Zeeshan was the most successful among the Chennai bowlers with figures of 3-13.

In the second match of the evening, Srinagar ke Veer will take on Tiigers of Kolkata. All matches are LIVE on Star Sports 1 (TV) and Disney+ Hotstar (OTT).

Bengaluru, February 04, 2025: Majhi Mumbai continued their winning run during the ongoing second season of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), outplaying a rather lacklustre Tiigers of Kolkata by six wickets at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium here on Monday.

Fielding first after winning the toss, Mumbai restricted Kolkata to 44/9, before overhauling the modest target quite easily with 3.2 overs to spare. Mumbai thus maintained their all-win record, having registered victories in all the six matches they have played so far.

The Mumbai innings was off to a shaky start as opener Mohammed Nadeem was sent back to the dugout with only five runs on the board. However, Rajat Mundhe – the other opener – anchored the Mumbai chase with a steady 18 runs off 15 deliveries. His calculative knock helped Mumbai bring the innings back on track and the other Mumbai batters did well to finish off the job.

Earlier, the Kolkata innings was off to a steady, albeit sluggish start. They suffered their first blow early on when Mumbai pacer Ankur Singh dismissed their opener Hardeep Singh. Moyoddin Alimuddin Shaikh joined Sarfraz Khan in the middle and the duo tried to steady the ship for Kolkata before Ankur struck again to remove the former.

The seventh over – which was a 50-50 over – turned out to be disastrous for Kolkata as they lost three wickets.

Prathamesh Thakre was the first to be dismissed. The right-hander had stepped too much towards the off-stump in an attempt to hit over the top, but Mumbai pacer Vijay Pawle uprooted the leg with an accurate full-length inswinger.

Bhavesh Pawar was run out just a ball later thanks to a horrendous mix-up before Pawle struck again to dismiss Fardeen Kazi. That knocked the wind out of the Kolkata innings as the Mumbai attack continued to pick up wickets at regular intervals.

Abhishek Kumar Dalhor was the most successful among the Mumbai bowlers with figures of 3/8.

In the other match of the evening, Srinagar ke Veer will take on KVN Bangalore Strikers. All matches are LIVE on Star Sports 1 (TV) and Disney+ Hotstar (OTT).
