The newly inaugurated Mobile Medical Unit is designed to provide essential healthcare services to 42 villages surrounding NTPC Kanti, directly benefiting approximately 10,000 villagers. The unit is fully equipped and staffed by a highly skilled healthcare team, including two doctors (one male and one female), a nurse, two paramedical staff, and a dedicated driver. This initiative aims to address critical healthcare needs and improve health outcomes for mothers and children in these underserved communities. The mobile medical unit will look after pregnant women and newborn babies.

Shri Madhu S., Head of Project at NTPC Kanti, remarked, “The launch of this Mobile Medical Unit is a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to support the health needs of our local communities. Our focus on maternal and child healthcare reflects our commitment and exemplifies the corporate ethos of social responsibility and proactive community engagement, fostering a healthier, stronger society.”

The inaugural ceremony was graced by key dignitaries and stakeholders, including Shri Tapas Saha, GM (O&M), Shri Maheshkumar Suthar, AGM (HR), HODs, and representatives from various villages. Their presence underscored the collective dedication to this noble cause.
