75,18,000 LPG cylinders delivered; supply remains stable and adequate (1st to 6th Apr’26)

40,215 tankers dispatched to ensure seamless nationwide fuel availability (1st to 6th Apr’26)

94.5% LPG bookings through digital platforms

4,302 inspections conducted; strict action taken against malpractices (14th Mar to 6th Apr’ 26)>

Kolkata, April 07, 2026: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) continues to maintain uninterrupted fuel and LPG supply across the country, supported by a resilient and responsive supply chain, even as certain regions witness a temporary surge in demand.

During the period from 1st to 6th April 2026, HPCL recorded nozzle sales of 2,27,086 KL of Petrol and 4,05,398 KL of Diesel, reflecting strong consumption patterns driven by increased demand. To support this, the Company dispatched 40,215 tankers carrying Petrol, Diesel and PDS SKO, ensuring continuous replenishment across its extensive retail network.

In the LPG segment, HPCL delivered 75,18,000 cylinders during the same period, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring reliable and timely supply to households across the country. Additionally, the Company supplied 1,45,447 Free Trade LPG cylinders of 5 Kg and 13,600 cylinders of 2 Kg, strengthening last-mile connectivity and supporting the energy needs of migrant workers and economically weaker sections.

HPCL continues to see strong adoption of digital platforms, with 94.5% of LPG bookings being made through digital channels, including IVRS, SMS, Missed Call, HP PAY, and WhatsApp. Deliveries are authenticated through DAC/OTP mechanisms, ensuring transparency and secure service delivery.
The Company has further intensified its monitoring and enforcement efforts to safeguard consumer interests and maintain integrity across the LPG distribution network. Between 14th March and 6th April 2026, HPCL conducted 4,302 inspections, taking action against 68 distributors, including the suspension of 25 distributorships. In coordination with other Oil Marketing Companies and State authorities, 656 raids were carried out, leading to the registration of 40 FIRs and seizure of 3,163 LPG cylinders.

HPCL reiterates that fuel and LPG supplies remain stable and adequate across its network, and the current pressure at certain locations is primarily due to temporary demand spikes and panic-driven behaviour. The Company continues to operate at full capacity to meet consumer demand efficiently.

Customers are advised to book LPG refills as per requirement and avoid unnecessary stocking, and to rely only on official HPCL communication channels for accurate information.

HPCL remains committed to a customer-first approach, ensuring seamless availability, operational efficiency, and strict action against any malpractices across its distribution network.
