NEW DELHI. Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) launched a significant CSR project aimed at transforming the 1,700-acre National Security Guard (NSG) Campus in Manesar into a model of environmental sustainability. Following an MoU signed on January 21, the initiative introduces a modern, integrated system capable of processing 5–7 tonnes of municipal solid waste daily, featuring a 2-tonne biogas plant that will convert organic waste from residential blocks and 52 canteens into cooking fuel. By streamlining door-to-door collection, scientific segregation, and recycling, the project—implemented by Blue Planet Environmental Solutions—is expected to prevent up to 2,000 tonnes of waste from reaching landfills annually, reinforcing HUDCO’s commitment to impactful CSR and the NSG’s role in leading by example through future-ready, eco-friendly infrastructure.

Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has successfully completed a new Public Amenity Building at Shri Kedarnath Dham under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, in partnership with the Shri Kedarnath Utthan Charitable Trust. Located at an altitude of 11,755 feet, the facility has been specially designed to withstand extreme climatic conditions of the region. The project aims to address the critical sanitation and hygiene needs of the lakhs of pilgrims visiting the shrine every year. The amenity complex includes separate blocks for women and men, equipped with water closets, shower rooms, wash basins, and hot and cold water systems. The initiative reflects HUDCO’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development and improved public facilities at important pilgrimage destinations.

HUDCO Conducts Master Trainer Programme Under Mission Karmayogi

Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs and the Capacity Building Commission, organised a three-day Master Trainer Capacity Building Programme under Mission Karmayogi – Phase 2 from 8–10 December 2025. Representatives from 17 organisations, including HUDCO, NCRTC, NIUA, TCPO, BMTPC, NBO, DUAC, L&DO and others, participated to strengthen competency-based governance and prepare the next cadre of Karmayogi Coaches for citizen-centric service delivery.

The training emphasised the use of digital learning platforms such as iGOT-Karmayogi and the PedGog App, along with modules on behavioural transformation, collaborative governance and assessment-driven learning. Participants engaged in case-based exercises and facilitation practice aligned with the Rashtriya Karmayogi – Large Scale Jan Seva Programme. All trainers completed their digital registrations, and the Ministry highlighted continued learning progression on these platforms. Participants appreciated the valuable insights, cross-institutional learning and strengthened understanding of competency-based governance.

New Delhi. Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman and Managing Director of HUDCO, addressed the Investment & Innovation Summit for Sustainable WASH Infrastructure held in New Delhi on 27 November 2025. The event brought together sector experts, policymakers, and innovators to discuss climate-resilient strategies and emerging financing models for strengthening urban water management in India.

In his address, Shri Kulshrestha highlighted the critical importance of robust financing mechanisms in bridging India’s urban water infrastructure deficit. He outlined key challenges faced by urban local bodies, including low user tariffs, inadequate cost recovery, and limited revenue-generating avenues, all of which constrain investments in water and sanitation services.

He elaborated on HUDCO’s initiatives to address these gaps through dedicated lending, support for early-stage project preparation, and ongoing capacity-building programmes for ULBs. Drawing from HUDCO’s extensive experience in financing more than 560 water supply projects across the country, he emphasised the organisation’s commitment to enabling sustainable and inclusive water infrastructure.

Shri Kulshrestha also underscored the role of HUDCO’s Urban Invest Window (UiWIN), a comprehensive platform designed as a one-stop solution for ULBs. UiWIN offers end-to-end support ranging from project development and financing to implementation assistance for urban infrastructure initiatives.

The summit provided a collaborative platform for stakeholders to exchange insights on accelerating investment, fostering innovation, and building climate-resilient WASH infrastructure for India’s rapidly urbanising landscape.

NBCC (India) Ltd has taken a significant step forward in urban development by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) to execute a series of transformative projects across Panchkula, Kaushambi, Ahmedabad, and New Delhi. The MoU was signed by K P Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC, and Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman and Managing Director of HUDCO, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

Under this strategic partnership, NBCC will lead the development of a commercial complex at Kaushambi in Ghaziabad, oversee the integrated redevelopment of HUDCO’s land parcel in Panchkula, construct new blocks at HUDCO’s Regional Office in Ahmedabad, and reconstruct residential flats at the Asian Games Village Complex in Delhi. These projects collectively represent a combined investment of over Rs.117 crore and will be executed on a turnkey basis by NBCC, showcasing its expertise in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) signed its annual MoU with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for the financial year 2025-26, both digitally as well as physically.

The MoU outlines key performance parameters, including financial ratios and non-financial indicators such as procurement through GeM, support to MSEs, CSR expenditure, among others, with ‘Excellent’ level targets finalized by the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance.

The MoU was signed between Shri Srinivas Katikithala, Hon’ble Secretary, MoHUA, and Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman & Managing Director, HUDCO, in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry – Ms. Roopa Mishra, Joint Secretary & Mission Director (SBM-U), and Shri Sanjeet, Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor, MoHUA – along with HUDCO Directors, Shri M.
