Hrithik Roshan to provide Cooked Meals

Hrithik Roshan has decided to provide 1.2 lakh nutritious cooked meals for those who are unable to provide for themselves in these times of COVID-19 lockdown.

Hrithik will fulfill the cooking requirements of the needy in association with the NGO Akshaya Patra.
On receiving support from Hrithik, the NGO took to Twitter to thank the Super 30 actor.

“We are happy to share, our Foundation is now empowered by Superstar @iHrithik. Together, we will facilitate 1.2 lakh nutritious cooked meals to old age homes, daily wage labourers & low income groups across India, until normalcy in work routine”

“We salute the immediate help from Superstar Hrithik Roshan in providing relief and supporting the health & well-being of ALL INDIANS in need of care. We deeply thank you for your gesture,” the post read.

Responding to the tweet, Hrithik tweeted: “I wish you the power to ensure that NO ONE in our country sleeps hungry. You all are the real superheroes on ground. #IndiaFightsCorona #CovidRelief.”

Hrithik recently provided N95 and FFP3 masks for the BMC workers and caretakers.

A lot of Bollywood celebrities have extended their helping hand to the government by making a donation to the PM CARES fund, relief fund of the state government or by supporting various daily wage workers. After the two ‘Khans’ of the industry– Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, the third one has now come forward and contributed to the cause.

Actor Aamir Khan has donated to Narendra Modi’s PM-CARES fund as well as the Maharashtra relief fund. Not only this, but he has also even decided to help the daily wage workers of his next film, Lal Singh Chaddha, during the time of the lockdown.

Bollywood supported Covid-19 message

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation about corona virus pandemic and how India was dealing with it, a host of Bollywood celebrities came together to share precautions that can stop the spread of the disease.

Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shilpa Shetty, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit and Varun Dhawan were among the celebs who spoke about precautions people need to take in the video made by Rohit Shetty’s production house.

According to reports, 206 cases of coronavirus have been reported in India till Fridy morning.

Actor Kartik Aaryan took to social media to deliver a ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnaama’ style monologue about the importance of social distancing in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Aaryan was not the only celebrity to talk about being cautious against the pandemic but stood out with his style. The actor, who shot to fame with his monologues, made a fervent appeal to his fans to heed the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who during an address to the nation on Thursday evening urged people to stay at home.

Celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan also took to social media to applaud Prime Minister’s statement on janta curfew on Sunday. “ I applaud all fellow countrymen who work tirelessly to keep the essential services operational in such extenuating circumstances ..BE ONE, BE SAFE, BE IN PRECAUTION!,” megastar Bachchan tweeted.

“Fellow Indians, Namaskar. A short while ago, Our PM Saab, Modiji, requested all of us to show resolve & restraint in the face of COVID-19. Please also adhere to the Janta Curfew on 22nd March by staying home. Stay Safe @PMOIndia @narendramodi #JantaCurfew,” Ajay Devgn tweeted. “The assuring words & calm demeanor of our leader honourable PM @narendramodi Ji gave me comfort. I pledge to follow your instructions Sir, and my respect to all the silent heroes for their relentless work in public interest,” said Hrithik.

Akshay, whose film Sooryavanshi has been pushed due to the coronavirus scare, also hailed the PM’s speech. “An excellent initiative by PM @narendramodi ji…this Sunday, March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm let’s all join in the #JantaCurfew and show the world we are together in this. #SocialDistancing,” he wrote. “Imp initiative by our Honorable PM @narendramodi with #jantacurfew Self-inflicted Quarantine and Staying at HOME on Sunday, March 22 from 7 AM to 9 PM is a measured and sensible way to protect from this pandemic by not creating panic yet acknowledging the gravity of the situation,” Johar tweeted.

Hrithik & Tiger War seems to have paid

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War seems to have paid off well. The film has not only been raking in huge amounts of money but it has also become the 11th highest opening weekend film of all time. The record was previously held by PK at 93.82 crores. Not only that but the film has also become the highest opening weekend of 2019.

Prior to the release of War, Bharat had the highest opening weekend of 2019 at Rs. 90.47 crores which has now been beaten by War which earned Rs 95 crore in three days. Not only that but War has also set a new record for both of the main actors. Before War, Hrithik Roshan’s highest opening weekend was with Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang which raked in Rs. 62.65 crore in its opening weekend. Tiger Shroff, however, had made his biggest opening with Baaghi 2 earning Rs. 72.48 crore in the opening weekend. Looks like the two have now set a new record for themselves.

My failures have made me who I am,says Hrithik

Actor Hrithik Roshan made a blockbuster Bollywood debut 19 years ago with Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, and since then he has been featured in several films that ran the gamut of genres from love story to patriotism. His movies like Fiza, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Koi Mil Gaya, Dhoom 2 and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara turned out to be hits though he failed to impress with a string of projects such as Yaadien, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Lakshaya, Kites and Mohenjo Daro. Time and again, however, Hrithik has tried to prove his versatility as an artiste and, according to him, it was “failure” which helped him scale greater heights.

“Today, when I look back, it feels like I have come a long way. There have been successes and there have been failures but most important are the lessons I learnt from my failures. My failures have made me who I am today and now my choices come from a place of having learnt from those failures,” said Hrithik.

Talking about his film choices,he says he looks for “entertaining scripts” while signing the projects irrespective of genre.

“Honestly, I did not come on board for Super 30 because of the social message. I did it because it’s a great script. My father always says that if you want to give a message to the society, you make a documentary, don’t make films. If you make a film, it has to be entertaining. I am not going to do a film only because it is a biopic on a great man. I am going to do a film if it’s an entertaining script, that’s it! Those are the kind of stories I am looking forward to,” he said

The highlight of this film is of course that Hrithik and Tiger going at each other in carefully choreographed action sequences. Needless to say, both are looking sleek, suave and uber hot while they are at it.

According to latest reports, director Sidharth Anand has not left any stone unturned to make sure to impress masses with this much awaited movie.
