PHDCCI Delegation Meets New Tourism Secretary to Discuss 2026–27 Roadmap

NEW DELHI. A high-level delegation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) met with the newly appointed Tourism Secretary, Mr. Bhuvnesh Kumar, in New Delhi on May 13. Led by Tourism Committee Chair Mr. Anil Parashar, the team presented an ambitious calendar of events for the 2026–27 period. The meeting focused on key growth areas, including heritage, spiritual, film, and wedding tourism. The Secretary was also briefed on “Aanch 2.0,” a nationwide competition designed to showcase the talents of young chefs and hospitality students across India.

During the discussion, the delegation formally invited the Secretary to two major upcoming events: the 3rd Global Spiritual Tourism Conclave in Shirdi this June and the 15th International Heritage Tourism Conclave in Hyderabad this July. Mr. Kumar praised PHDCCI’s proactive efforts to boost the tourism and hospitality sectors and assured the Ministry’s full support for these initiatives. This collaboration aims to strengthen India’s position as a premier global travel destination through strategic events and skill-building programs.

PHDCCI Plans Global Spiritual Tourism Conclave in Delhi

NEW DELHI. PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is planning to organise the 3rd edition of the Global Spiritual Tourism Conclave in New Delhi. A delegation led by Rajan Sehgal, Co-Chair of the Tourism & Hospitality Committee, along with senior officials, met Suneel Anchipaka, Managing Director of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation, recently, to discuss the initiative and other key plans for 2026–27.

During the meeting, the delegation shared an overview of upcoming activities, with a focus on the conclave aimed at promoting spiritual tourism. Mr. Anchipaka appreciated the initiative and expressed support, suggesting that integrating heritage tourism with spiritual tourism could further enhance the event and showcase Delhi’s rich cultural and spiritual legacy to a wider audience.
