<p>On a standalone basis, the Company reported quarterly revenue of ₹ 1012 crores, EBIDTA of ₹ 161 crores, PBT of ₹ 104 crores, and PAT of ₹ 75 crores.</p>
<p>Commenting on the Company’s performance, <strong>Mr. Mahendra Nahata, Managing Director, HFCL </strong>said, <em>“Quarter 2 was marked by few significant milestones &#8211; HFCL delivered one of the world&#8217;s largest advanced broadband network gateway projects for BSNL. HFCL also entered into a strategic partnership with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Incorporated (GA-ASI), US, to develop critical sub-systems for one of the world’s most sophisticated unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).This partnership underscores our capabilities in the defense sector and opens more export opportunities for us. We are also in advanced stage of discussions for export of our indigenously designed and developed Electronics Fuzes in the global market”.</em></p>
<p><strong>Mr. Nahata</strong> further added, “<em>During the quarter under review we delivered steady performance despite the ongoing softness in demand for Optic Fiber Cables worldwide. Further, monsoon season in several parts of the Country impacted execution of work, causing some revenue to spill over into the next quarter”.</em> <strong>Mr. Nahata</strong> further mentioned that “<em>The Company has started receiving global enquiries for optic fiber cables indicating early signs of recovery in the coming quarters. Going ahead, our focus on launching new products, conscious shift towards margin-accretive products, increasing our share of private customers and expanding our international business will definitely result in improved revenue and profitability”.</em></p>

<p><strong>Bengaluru, October 16, 2024: </strong>HFCL Limited (HFCL), a leading technology enterprise and next-gen communications solution provider today announced the launch of two revolutionary Unlicensed Band Radio (UBR) products at the India Mobile Congress 2024, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.</p>
<p>Promising to address the surging data demands of today’s network environments and yet maintaining sustainability, HFCL’s new launches include: (a) 1 Gbps Small Form Factor 4G/5G backhauling Radio offering unprecedented spectral and power efficiency, and (b) Energy efficient 2 Gbps Point-to-Multipoint Rural connectivity UBR.</p>
<p>These designed in India UBR products underline HFCL’s position as a key player in the industry for 4G/5G wireless backhauling and rural connectivity solutions. HFCL’s new UBR devices offer fibre-like speeds, power efficiency, and significant cost reductions on utilities and tower space, enabling telcos and service providers to save on CAPEX and OPEX alike. Unlike any of traditional backhauling solutions, be it fibre optics, which can be costly and limited in reach, microwave systems which have inherent capacity constraints, and E-band radios which face reliability issues, HFCL’s UBRs deliver superior performance, ultra-high capacity and high reliability at almost one-tenth cost as compared to conventional backhauling methods.</p>
<h6>1.  Gbps Small Form Factor UBR: Compact Powerhouse</h6>
<p>The 1 Gbps UBR features a compact, portable design with an integrated antenna, making it exceptionally easy to transport and install. Its small form factor is ideal for rapid deployment in both urban and rural environments and is packed with advanced features like bandwidth aggregation, low latency, minimized jitter, and long range etc. making this ideal for 4G and 5G backhauling. Even in compact form, the device provides 1 Gbps throughput, ensuring reliable and fast last-mile access and backhaul connectivity over longer distances. It also includes advanced RF interference mitigation technologies to enhance signal integrity and achievable throughput, optimizing network performance in challenging environments.</p>
<h6>2.  Gbps Point-to-Multipoint UBR: Energy Efficient and Scalable</h6>
<p>The 2 Gbps UBR is ideal for providing connectivity in remote villages from a Gram Panchayat in point-to- multipoint scenario, allowing simultaneous delivery of high-bandwidth to multiple villages from a single fibre-PoP. This makes it an ideal solution for extensive deployments in remote and rural environments.</p>

<p><strong>Bengaluru, August 29, 2024</strong>: HFCL Limited (HFCL), a leading technology enterprise and integrated next-gen communications product and solution provider, today announced that it has completed the successful commissioning of BSNL’s Network Infrastructure Enhancement Project. Under this project, HFCL has commissioned the highly advanced version of Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), with Control and User Plane Separation (CUPS) architecture and associated subscriber Policy Manager &amp; Authentication platform. The project involved a nationwide deployment across India, with a total value of ~INR 390 crore, including Operations and Maintenance (O&amp;M).</p>
<p>This crucial infrastructure upgradation to CUPS architecture, executed by HFCL in alignment with BSNL’s goal, will transform BSNL’s network to support high-end enterprise customers as well as to bridge the digital divide, especially in rural and remote areas. This new architecture will enable BSNL to enhance its Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) based broadband network service expansion.</p>
<p>This cutting-edge technology is designed to improve network efficiency, scalability, and service quality for BSNL’s broadband customers. By improving BNG infrastructure and providing advanced connectivity options, BSNL will ensure more reliable, accessible and affordable broadband services for all its users.</p>
<p>Network operators deploy BNG to expand the broadband coverage, and to provide faster and controlled access to avoid any bandwidth constraints, thereby allowing the network to scale up seamlessly. CUPS architecture for BNG is an increasingly capable, versatile and strategic platform that allows independent location, and life cycle management of Control Plane Functions (CPFs). The upgraded BNG infrastructure will serve as the Internet Gateway for all enterprise and home users of BSNL, as well as for the existing BharatNet network of 1.5 Lac Gram Panchayats and the upcoming pan-India BharatNet expansion in Phase –III.</p>

<p>This project was initiated in October 2022 and was successfully commissioned in August 2024. HFCL executed this crucial infrastructure upgrade to CUPS architecture end-to-end, including the design, supply, commissioning, testing, and seamless migration of legacy networks and services to the new network.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Bengaluru, July 31, 2024: </strong>HFCL, a leading technology enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of high-end telecom equipment, optical fiber, and optical fiber cables, as well as providing communication network solutions for telecommunications, defense, and railway sectors, has indigenously designed and developed various cutting edge defence technologies including Electronics Fuzes, Ti Cores for Thermal Sights, Thermal Weapon Sights for light machine guns and assault rifles, Ground Surveillance Radars for various range and applications, High Capacity Radio Relays, among others. HFCL is also in the advanced stage of discussions to adopt defence technology and products developed by the Indian Agencies.</p>
<p>The Company&#8217;s indigenously developed electronic fuzes for artillery ammunition have already undergone extensive testing. The intellectual property rights of these products are entirely owned by HFCL in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. Discussions are underway for the export of these indigenously developed fuzes.</p>
<p>HFCL has also designed 12-micron Ti-core based thermal weapon sight for defence forces, a feat accomplished by few global companies. HFCL has also participated in tenders for thermal weapon sights for light machine guns and rocket launchers with its indigenously developed products, which are currently in various stages of trials.</p>
<p>Further, to fulfill the critical Information, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) needs of Defense and Security Forces, HFCL has strategically focused on developing advanced radar technologies. In its initial offering, HFCL through its subsidiary, Raddef Private Limited, an R&amp;D enterprise specializing in cutting-edge radars and RF solutions, has designed and developed a range of ground and coastal surveillance radars to meet diverse operational needs. These radars employ Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) technology, which offers numerous advantages over other radar technologies, including high accuracy, low power consumption, and resistance to interference.</p>
<p>HFCL is also in discussion with a large player for the development of critical sub-systems for their overall surveillance platform.</p>
<p>The surveillance radars have been subjected to extensive trials for ground and coastal surveillance applications. The senior defense officials recently visited the Company&#8217;s R&amp;D facility at Bangalore and appreciated the progress made by HFCL.</p>
<p>HFCL is also one of the shortlisted vendors in the Make-II program of the Indian Army for upgrading armaments of BMP 2/2K, having successfully cleared first level of user trials.</p>
<p>Aiming to be a significant contributor to the defense sector and fortify national security, HFCL has invested in its R&amp;D capabilities over the past five years to develop various defense technologies.</p>
<p>The Indian Defence forces, recognized as the world&#8217;s fourth largest armed force, stands on the brink of a significant transformation. The Government has identified the Defence sector as pivotal area for the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. This strategy focuses on fostering indigenous manufacturing capabilities and strengthening a robust research and development ecosystem.</p>
<p>India accounts for 3.7% of global military spending amounting to 6.21 lakh crore, making it the third highest military spender in the world after the U.S. and China. With active initiatives by Indian and various global governments to modernize and upgrade defense networks and systems, there is a total addressable market of multi billion dollars.</p>
<p>Leveraging its strong R&amp;D capabilities, HFCL aims to address the Defence market nationally and internationally. The market size for HFCL’s current products is expected to be in excess of USD 10 Billion.</p>
<p><strong>Mr. Mahendra Nahata, Managing Director, HFCL, </strong>said, <em>“HFCL has successfully created a comprehensive, its IPR owned state-of-the-art defense product portfolio which are not only of national importance but also have huge demand for export. Entering the defense business on a significant scale, we are exploring new product opportunities and forming strategic alliances to grow and contribute substantially to India&#8217;s defense sector. Our innovative products for the Indian Defense Forces and global markets are poised to boost our revenue and profitability”</em>.</p>
<p>With development of new generation defence product portfolio and ongoing sales and marketing efforts both domestically and in international markets, HFCL expects notable increase in its revenue and profitability from the defence sector in coming years.</p>
