Land For Job’ Case row: Tejashwi Yadav denies connection with Gurgaon-Based company

Gurugram/Patna (26.08.2022) : Gurgaon based developers Whiteland Corporations, who were being reported by the media to have links with Bihar deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has issued an official statement pointing out the conspiracy against them.

After Tejashwi Yadav denial of having share in Gurugram-based company, the Whiteland Corporation in their statement quoted “A certain section of the media have reported news involving the name of Whiteland Corporation in the ‘Land for Jobs’ scam, where the Company has been accused of being beneficiary in political money. This is prima facie, and seemingly with malicious intent to damage the Company’s reputation and business. Whiteland Corporation is known to always ensure the highest level of all compliances, integrity and work ethics. It appears that some vested interests are behind this entire unfortunate conspiracy and false portrayal. As a law-abiding Company, we not only have full faith in the judiciary but also we would request the authorities to unearth the matter in complete detail. We are fully co-operating with investigative authorities in every manner and are available for any kind of investigation at any time. All relevant details of the company have been provided without any delay from our side.”

The statement further quoted “We would urge the media to exercise journalistic caution and restraint in reporting about any matter in haste. It is pertinent to highlight that the entire news has been published without taking our view on it. It is surprising to see that some daily nationals of repute have published false° information about the Company’s project launch event being stalled. However, the event was a success on the given date (24.08.2022) as per the schedule. It is also to be noted that the official works was also resumed post the brief search conducted by the CBI in the office premises and construction site of Urban Cubes 71. AlI the assets of the company have been lawfully acquired with only the legitimate sources of the company and are regularly audited as per the protocol. Whiteland Corporation Pvt Ltd is a growling Company with a stupendous track record of the management. We hope this matter is thoroughly investigated and only the correct information is circulated.”

Schools in Gurugram are increasingly relying on the digital model of education to resume teaching in the wake of the lockdown triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdown has not only disrupted classroom teaching but also lead to the postponement of board exams. In an endeavour to sustain the momentum of education amidst uncertainty, the faculty has started working from home to develop E-learning modules and are also mulling ways to enable student-teacher interactions through ‘virtual classes’ to complete the syllabus during the lockdown.

At Suncity School, the faculty has prepared a daily timetable and videos on the remaining portion of the syllabus for every class. Mrs Rupa Chakravarty, Director- Suncity School said: “We started classes for I to IX from 1st April as the school re-opened for them. For classes X and XII we have been doing online teaching from the past three weeks. Teachers are using podcasts, presentations for concept initiation and live teaching for Concept elucidation. The medium which we are using to project this to students is through Microsoft Teams and ZOOM for the class meetings and the School Management system. The assignments are to be submitted through MS TEAMS. The class includes yoga and performing and fine ARTS, puppet storytelling sessions too.

Blue Bells Group of Schools has also taken various measures to ensure that education does not suffer due to the disruption caused by COVID-19.

Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director IT, Blue Bells Group of Schools said. “At Blue Bells, we have already started with our E-learning programme under which we are conducting online teaching sessions for all classes, through video conferencing. Teachers are working from home and preparing the required study material and assignments and posting them for the students’ reference. The IT team is conducting online training to support the faculty on new platforms. It is a well-structured programme that will ensure that students do not miss out on their learning because of this unexpected event.”

Schools have also taken into consideration the factor that a lot of parents might be working from home and hence have devised e-modules in such a way that requires minimum parental support. At Matrikiran School, the focus is on not only academic but also on life skills to ensure the overall well-being of students.

“Educators at MatriKiran have sought ways to ensure that all students are able to access and engage with the digital materials, resources, and tools they are receiving for learning. Students are delighted to engage in life skills, physical education, yoga, dance, music, craft, best out of waste and art. We have considered the gap between students who have access to and use technology in meaningful ways to further their learning and those who do not have reliable internet or students who must share devices among family members, can struggle to continue learning. Keeping in mind that parents might either be working from home or not able to help much, lesson plans are designed in a manner that does not require a lot of parental support. Said, Jyoti Guha, Principal, MatriKiran School.

The Odisha government has extended all regulations in force for COVID-19 from March 31 to April 15, while offering an incentive of ₹15000 to each person registering with the State on coming from abroad.

Odisha, the first State in the country to undertake this unique initiative, came up with online portal and toll free number 104 urging people to register. These foreign returnees will have to mandatorily give a disclosure about their health status and travel history within 24 hours of arrival.

Meanwhile The Gurgaon administration on Tuesday suggested all multinational firms, IT corporations, industries and company places of work to permit their workers to make money working from home until March 31 amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The advisory comes whilst a 29-year-old lady, who works in an IT agency within the metropolis, on Tuesday examined optimistic for the novel coronavirus, the primary such case in Gurgaon.

Stating that arrival from foreign countries was a major source of infection, the government said the incentive was meant for undergoing home quarantine. The 48-hour window for those who entered Odisha on or after March 4 began from Tuesday morning.

According the government, this will help the State in tracking persons who are already in the State, sensitise them about home isolation and keep a watch on their health for effective monitoring of the situation and medical advice.

The government also threatened legal action against foreign returnees found concealing their health status and travel history soon after the first coronavirus positive case was detected in State.

“We have received information that foreign universities have been shut down. Students and professionals are returning home. The crisis is going to only multiply,” said Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy.
