1) LALBAUG CHA RAJA:

On the first day of the festival, which was started by Lokmanya Tilak over 100 years ago, long queues were seen at Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbai’s most famous Ganpati mandal in Central Mumbai, with devotees eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of Lord Ganesh. The about 20-feet high Ganapati idol at Lalbaug has been crafted in a traditional way and is installed in the pandal.

2) GSB MANDAL:

Hailed as the richest Ganpati of Mumbai—Gowd Saraswat Brahman (GSB) Wadala Seva Mandal, King Circle has been insured for over Rs 266 crore.Precious gold ornaments of 68 kgs and 350 kgs worth silver have already been offered to the Lord at the GSB pandal. Even today, the Ganpati at GSB King’s circle is prayed to as per South Indian rituals.One of the popular Ganpati pandals of Mumbai is Guru Ganesh Seva Mandal or GSB Mandal which sees crowds of devotees for 10 days.

3) GANESH GALLI OR MUMBAI CHA RAJA :

This is the oldest Ganesh pandal in Mumbai, completing  92 years. It has one of the biggest Ganesh idols in the city.Ganesh Galli Cha Raha is one of the oldest and one of the most renowned Ganpati pandals in Mumbai. The Ganesh Galli Cha Raja which is Ganesh Galli cha Raja also called as Mumbaicha Raja was founded in 1928. This year the pandal will celebrate its 92nd Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Ganesh Galli Cha Raja is located in Parel in Central Mumbai, just a few lanes away from the most popular pandal in Mumbai, the Lalbaug Cha Raja. Well known for its unique themes which are often a replica of popular temples of India, the Ganesh Galli Cha Raja is also one of the oldest Ganpati pandals in Lalbaug, Parel. 

4) ANDHERI CHA RAJA:

Azad Nagar Sarvajanik Utsav Samiti was established in 1966. The Ganpati idol here came to be known as “Navasala Pavnara Ganpati” (wish fulfilling Ganesha) who was also later known as “Andhericha Raja” (King of Andheri) by Mumbai.

5) TEJUKAYA MITRA MANDAL, LALBAUG:

This year, the organisers have decided to do away with the Plaster of Paris (PoP) idol and instead prepared an idol which is eco-friendly. A 22 feet idol has been built is completely eco-friendly without any use of plastic or PoP.
