Bengaluru, October 03, 2025: Gromax Agri Equipment Ltd. (erstwhile Mahindra Gujarat Tractor Ltd.), a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and the Government of Gujarat has launched of 8 new tractors in the 4WD and 2WD categories, including India’s first factory-fitted cabin series in the under 50 HP segment.

Powered by Gromax’s powerful and fuel-efficient diesel engines, and world-class gear box technology, the new tractors boast optimal performance and are easy to operate, addressing a wide spectrum of farming needs. The new tractors will cater to orchard farming, areca-nut cultivation, inter-cultivation, puddling, and haulage applications.

Under its Trakstar Kavach series, Gromax has introduced India’s first factory-fitted cabin series in the under 50 HP segment, designed to offer farmers a safe, comfortable, and weather-resistant workspace. The cabin brings enhanced protection and convenience to tractors in the sub-50hp category, making it a practical solution for year-round farming operations and improved productivity. The company will initially offer the non-air-conditioned variant, while the air-conditioned variant will be introduced in the next phase.

Besides these new tractors, Gromax has also launched its second DVC under the Sabse Sahi Chunaav campaign. The new campaign reinforces Gromax’ products as an affordable and appropriate choice for farmers in terms of performance, productivity, and profitability.

The new tractors will be available across Gromax Tractor dealers. During the festive season Gromax dealers in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are also offering an exclusive consumer scheme and an assured gift on every tractor purchase.

Details of the new Trakstar Tractors by Gromax are listed below: 

1. Trakstar Kavach Series: This range is particularly designed for haulage and agricultural tasks and will be available in both AC and non-AC cabin options. It includes models like the Trakstar 545 4WD and Trakstar 550 4WD, for comfort and optimal performance in varied climates and conditions.

2. Trakstar 525 4WD NT: A specially designed 25 HP category tractor perfect for inter-cultivation, featuring a 33’’ track-width (2.75 feet) ensuring greater manoeuvrability and efficiency in narrow rows.

3. Trakstar 525 2WD: Another 25 HP category tractor tailored for orchard farming, providing optimal performance and ease of operation in orchard settings.

4. Trakstar 540 HT: A robust 40 HP category tractor designed for tough tasks, such as haulage and puddling, ensuring durability and powerful performance.

5. Trakstar 540 Orchard: India’s first 40 HP category tractor engineered specifically for Areca-nut farming, offering multifunctional utility features to enhance farming versatility and productivity.

6. Trakstar 545 4WD: A versatile 45 HP category tractor suitable for haulage, puddling, and various agricultural applications, promising reliability and efficiency across diverse tasks.

7. Trakstar 550 4WD: A powerful 50 HP category tractor aimed at maximizing utility for potato farming, puddling, and comprehensive agricultural applications, embodying strength and reliability.

8. Trakstar 550 HT: Another innovative 50 HP category tractor designed for heavy-haulage and multi-utility agri-application, ensuring enhanced productivity and exceptional performance.

Bengaluru, February 25, 2025: Gromax Agri Equipment Ltd. (erstwhile Mahindra Gujarat Tractor Ltd.), a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and the Government of Gujarat celebrates its 25^th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in the tractor makers journey towards empowering Indian farmers with affordable mechanized solutions.

Rechristened to Mahindra Gujarat Tractor Ltd. with Mahindra acquiring a major stake in the company 1999 and renamed to Gromax Agri Equipment Ltd. in 2017, this signaled a strategic shift for the brand towards providing a distinctive and affordable range of mechanization solutions for India’s farming community. In the last 25 years Gromax has expanded its tractor range from about only 4 tractor models to over 40 variants in the 20-50HP segment under the TRAKSTAR (launched in 2017) and HINDUSTAN brand of tractors, and farm implements under the TRAKMATE brand.

To commemorate the company’s 25^th anniversary Gromax has launched all-new 4WD tractor models – the Trakstar 525 and Trakstar 536 during the year. The company has also introduced

new 2WD tractor variants under the 24HP, 31HP and 36HP categories to cater to the specific needs of the orchard segment. To attract young farmers and drive differentiation, Gromax has also introduced tractors in saffron and black colour themes.
