										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b>Bengaluru, January 21, 2026</b>: Demonstrating exceptional precision, composure, and competitive excellence, Nidhi Mittal, an IBDP Year 2 student from Greenwood High International Campus, Sarjapur, has won the Gold Medal in the Girls’ Under-19 Peep Sight Air Rifle event at the 69th National School Games (SGFI), held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh recently. Competing against 78 of India’s top young shooters chosen through competitions from all International Curriculum schools (ISSO), State boards, CBSE, ICSE,  and other approved curriculum bodies from India, Nidhi scored 419.2 to claim the first place &#8211; a remarkable achievement that reflects her dedication, focus, and sporting excellence, as she tops India among school students in this event. Nidhi had earlier secured the gold medal at ISSO to qualify for SGFI.</p>
<p>The National School Games, organised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), represent one of the most prestigious platforms for school athletes in the country, bringing together elite talent selected through rigorous qualifying competitions nationwide. The School Games Federation of India (SGFI) is the national governing body for school sports, promoting excellence through structured training and competitions while ensuring a safe, transparent, and dope-free sporting environment that nurtures character and leadership among young athletes.</p>
<p>“Winning the gold medal at the National School Games is a deeply rewarding moment for me. Competing against the best young shooters from across the country tested my focus and discipline, and I am grateful to my coaches, mentors, and Greenwood High for their constant guidance and support. This milestone has strengthened my motivation to pursue shooting more seriously at the university level, with a long-term goal of representing India on the international stage.” <b>said Ms. Nidhi Mittal, an IBDP Year 2 student from Greenwood High International School</b>.</p>

<p>Nidhi has an impressive track record of competitive shooting.  Among her achievements are two gold medals with the senior and junior teams, besides an individual bronze medal in the sub-youth category at the 12th Karnataka State Championship, July 2024. She has also achieved an overall state ranking of 6th.</p>
<p>Nidhi intends to continue pursuing competitive shooting during her university years, with aspirations to represent India and earn medals at the international level. Greenwood High students competed across Under-8 to Under-16 age categories in track and field events including javelin throw, hurdles, shot put, and relay races. Greenwood High athletes competed across multiple events over the two-day programme.</p>
<p>Among the medal winners, Aariya Maan (Grade 6) won the Gold Medal in the Under-14 Javelin Throw, demonstrating exceptional technique and competitive spirit. Greenwood High also earned multiple silver medals, including Ansh Sandeep (Grade 4) in the 60m Hurdles, and the Under-12 (4×100m) Relay Team comprising Rohini Sindhu Prasad (Grade 5), Hanvitha Koneru (Grade 6), Ilaria Anna Melvin (Grade 6), and Aayushi Karnath (Grade 6), who delivered a strong team performance on the track. Several other Greenwood High students also won medals across different age categories and events.</p>
<p><strong>Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Greenwood High International School said</strong> “We are immensely proud of our students for their achievements at the Bangalore School Olympics. <p><strong>Bangalore, December 08, 2025:</strong> Greenwood High International School, Bengaluru, proudly hosted the 69th National School Games Under-19 Boys and Girls Chess Championship, organised by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI). A total of 32 units (64 teams of boys &amp; girls), with over 300 students from across the country, participated in the event, representing State and Union Territory Directorates of Education as well as major national school boards, including the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC) and International Board School Sports Organization (IBSSO.)</p>

<p>The team championship followed the Swiss League format, with all teams competing across six rounds. In the <strong>Under-19</strong> <strong>Boys’ section, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)</strong> emerged as the Champion with<strong> 10 match points</strong>, securing the top position after a tie-break. Maharashtra claimed the 1<strong>st Runner-up title </strong>with <strong>10 match points,</strong> while <strong>Tamil Nadu finished as the 2nd Runner-up with 9 match points.</strong></p>
<p><strong>In the Under-19 Girls’ section, Maharashtra</strong> emerged as the winner, <strong>scoring 12 match points</strong>. <strong>CBSE </strong>followed <strong>as 1st Runner-up</strong> <strong>with 10 match points</strong>, while the <strong>Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) scored 9 match points to claim the 2nd Runner-up title.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Greenwood High International School, said, </strong>“We are pleased to host this championship and provide a platform for young players to showcase their abilities. Events like these highlight the importance of sports in students’ overall growth, and we remain committed to supporting opportunities that encourage learning, discipline, and development.”</p>
<p>The championship witnessed strong participation from highly accomplished titled players across both categories. <strong>Of the 155 boys competing, an impressive 114 were FIDE-rated players, and out of the 157 female registrants, 81 were FIDE-rated players, reflecting the high calibre and competitive strength of the field.</strong></p>
<p>In the Boys’ division, International Master Daaevik Wadhawan (FIDE Rating 2409) and International Master Sahib Singh (2376), both from Delhi, along with FIDE Master Gaurang Pankaj Bagwe (2308) from Maharashtra and FIDE Master Swarna Nihal (2243), were the prominent title players.</p>
<p>In the Girls’ category, Women FIDE Master Amulya Guruprasad (2113) and Women Candidate Master R. Kashthuri Bhai (1887), both representing CBSE, were the title players.</p>
<p>The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Grandmaster Mr. Tej Kumar – India’s 50th and Karnataka’s 1st Grandmaster The event was also attended Mr. Arnav Kumar Shaw – Manager, CISCE Sports &amp; Games, and Ms. Tripti Agrawal – Field Officer, SGFI, alongside representatives from Greenwood High International School. The championship concluded with outstanding displays of strategy and sportsmanship, reflecting a continued commitment to nurturing talent across academics, sports, and co-curricular pursuits.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b>Bangalore, July 25, 2025:</b>  Demonstrating the spirit of all-round excellence, Ishta Iusta, a 9th grade student from the Bannerghatta campus, clinched the Gold medal in Dressage at the Karnataka State Equestrian Championship 2025 recently, held by the Karnataka State Equestrian Association at the Embassy International Riding School, Bengaluru. She has been participating in this sport since 2020 and since then, she has steadily honed her skills, earning recognition for her dedication and performance.</p>
<p>The competition brought together the state’s best young riders, where Ishta competed against 23 participants and delivered a poised and technically brilliant performance, outshining many seasoned participants in her category. This victory adds to her growing list of accolades in equestrian sports, having already won several medals in both Jumping and Dressage disciplines over the past year. In the past, she has competed in the Equestrian Premier League, where she secured multiple medals and showcased her growing prowess in the sport.</p>

<p>Beyond the riding arena, Ishta has also earned Distinction in Grade 2 Ballet, certified by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), UK, in a highly competitive exam. Over the years, she has won a total of 14 medals in jumping and dressage. Her achievements reflect not just talent, but immense discipline, passion, and commitment to mastering diverse art forms.</p>
<p><b>Sharing her excitement, Ishta said, </b>“Horse riding and ballet are both about grace, balance, and focus. I love both equally, and I’m thankful to my trainers, my parents, and Greenwood High for supporting me in every step of my journey. Every performance and every ride teaches me something new, and I’m excited to keep growing, learning, and doing what I love.”</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><em>77 junior golfers from 16 countries competed in the three-day tournament</em></p>
<p><strong>Bangalore, </strong><strong>May 12, 2025:</strong>  Reflecting the high achievements of Greenwood High International School, Grade 4 student Ruslaan Alam Khan, clinched the Championship Trophy (Category Boys &#8211; 9) at the U.S. Kids Golf Malaysian Championship 2025 held at the prestigious Glenmarie Golf &amp; Country Club in Kuala Lumpur recently.</p>
<p>The tournament attracted aspiring young golfers from around the world and 77 junior golfers from 16 countries competed in the three-day tournament, where Ruslaan delivered a stellar performance, demonstrating outstanding skill, focus, and determination on the course. This marks a significant leap from last year’s tournament, where he secured the 2nd runner-up position.</p>
<p>The win came on a demanding course, with rain delays, shifting green speeds, and heavy humidity pushing players to their limits. Ruslaan also represented India at the U.S. Kids Golf Thailand Championship 2025, held at the prestigious Black Mountain Golf Course, Thailand, which hosted 135 participants from around the globe. There, he achieved an impressive international score of +4, -3, +8, making him one of the best young performers of the tournament. His victories not only place him among the top junior golfers in Asia but also qualify him for prestigious global events, including the U.S. Kids Golf European Championship, Australian Masters, and many others in the USA.</p>
<p><strong>Sharing his excitement on this achievement, Ruslaan shared</strong>, &#8220;It feels amazing to come back stronger this year and win the trophy. Competing with talented players from around the world was a great learning experience. I’m thankful for the support from my coaches, parents, and the school.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Speaking on the accomplishment, Mrs. Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Greenwood High International School said</strong>: “We are incredibly proud of Ruslaan&#8217;s incredible performance in a global competition. This win not only reflects his golfing skills but also his commitment to excellence.
