The talk focused on the importance of Green Steel and highlighted the potential of hydrogen plasma as a sustainable replacement for carbon in iron and steel making, as well as in the production of other metals and alloys. Dr. Paramguru, discussed the innovative process being developed under the project, sponsored by the Department of Steel, Government of India at IMMT. The process aims to reduce iron using hydrogen plasma, offering a cleaner and more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional methods.
