NEW DELHI. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has entered into a strategic tie-up with Norway-based Hystar AS to enable phased indigenisation and local manufacturing of PEM electrolyser systems for green hydrogen projects in India. The collaboration will strengthen BHEL’s capabilities in the emerging green hydrogen market and enhance its project execution potential. BHEL has already partnered with thyssenkrupp nucera India for alkaline electrolyser systems earlier this year. With the latest agreement, BHEL is positioned among the Indian players capable of offering both alkaline and PEM electrolyser solutions, supporting the country’s transition towards clean energy and strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities for green hydrogen technologies
