]]> NEW DELHI. The Government of India has appointed Shri Deepak Gupta as the new Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL (India) Limited, with his tenure commencing on March 1, 2026. He will serve until his superannuation on February 28, 2029, or until further orders. Gupta succeeds Sandeep Kumar Gupta, who is set to superannuate on February 28. Currently serving as Director (Projects) at GAIL, Deepak Gupta has been responsible for overseeing key infrastructure and execution portfolios crucial to the company’s expansion plans. His leadership approach, highlighted in a LinkedIn post shared by GAIL six months ago, emphasizes disciplined project execution, adaptability to dynamic market conditions, and the importance of aligning planning with effective communication and teamwork.
