]]> Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh has highlighted the handicrafts sector’s pivotal role in the growth of Indian economy.  Addressing the 24th Handicrafts Exports Awards in New Delhi yesterday, he noted that the handicrafts sector currently enjoys a growth rate of nearly nine to ten percent. On this occasion, the Minister encouraged women to join the handicrafts sector.

The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts organized the event to honor the top exporters in the industry.

Ajay Gupta’s C.L. Gupta Exports Limited received the Top All Handicrafts Award for both 2019-20 and 2020-21. Muzafar Hussain from Jammu and Kashmir won the Lifetime Achievement Award.
