										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI.</strong> In a major boost to domestic urea production and energy-led regional development, GAIL (India) Limited and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly set up a state-of-the-art gas-based fertilizer plant in Maharashtra. Proposed to be located in the Vidarbha region along GAIL’s upcoming Mumbai–Nagpur–Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline network, the facility will boast a production capacity of 1.27 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum.</p>
<p>The agreement was formally executed by Shri Sanjay Agarwal, ED (BD &amp; Start-up), GAIL, and Ms. Jyoti Patil, Executive Director (Project, Corporate &amp; Co-ordination), RCF, in the distinguished presence of Shri Deepak Gupta, CMD, GAIL, and Shri S. Shivakumar, CMD, RCF, alongside senior leadership from both public sector enterprises.</p>
<p>Highlighting the strategic significance of the partnership, Shri Deepak Gupta stated that the project perfectly aligns with GAIL’s vision of leveraging natural gas utilization to create long-term value and reinforce national energy security under the National Investment Policy for Urea-2026. Concurring with the vision, Shri S. Shivakumar emphasized that the modern facility will leverage the core competencies of both organizations to meet growing domestic fertilizer demand, reduce import dependency, and drive holistic industrial growth across the Vidarbha region, furthering the national mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat.</p>

The national initiative brought together 73 senior leaders from over 20 major PSUs across India. As part of the curriculum, Sehgal collaborated with dynamic leaders from GAIL, ONGC, SAIL, and OIL on a cross-PSU Live Action Learning Project titled “Strengthening Safety Monitoring Systems in Plants,” which successfully secured the Second Runner-Up position. The transformative program was conceptualized and delivered by SCOPE, the Capacity Building Commission, IIM Ahmedabad, and McKinsey &amp; Company.</p>
<p>The award-winning project demonstrated the strong potential of AI-based tools and digital technologies in transforming traditional safety frameworks into proactive, predictive, and intelligent monitoring systems. These practical, scalable, and industry-relevant solutions serve as a key enabler in achieving the ultimate vision of Zero Harm in industries. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI.</strong> Under the auspices of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), GAIL (India) Limited organized a comprehensive Capacity-Building Workshop for Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) and Vigilance executives at its Corporate Office in New Delhi on 17th September 2025. This initiative is part of a broader three-month Preventive Vigilance Campaign aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical governance across the organization. The workshop focused on enhancing the understanding of the Lokpal framework, its jurisdiction, and the importance of digital transformation in reinforcing vigilance functions through GAIL’s Vigilance Portal.</p>
<p>During the session, participants engaged in discussions on their roles and responsibilities in fostering integrity and preventing corruption, with special emphasis on best practices for handling complaints under the Lokpal Act. The workshop also highlighted the significance of digitization in strengthening vigilance processes, sharing insights into how GAIL’s Vigilance Portal can facilitate more efficient and transparent operations. Shri Alok Kumar Mishra, Executive Director, Vigilance (Engg), Railway Board, delivered an insightful keynote address on “Lokpal Cases,” enriching the deliberations under the guidance of Shri D.K. Singh, Principal Executive Director, Railway Board.</p>
<p>Bringing together 18 CVOs from various Delhi-based organizations and Vigilance officials from GAIL’s NCR offices, the workshop exemplified GAIL’s commitment to making vigilance preventive, proactive, and participative. The event reinforced the collective resolve to uphold integrity and foster a culture of transparency, aligning with the broader objectives of the Central Vigilance Commission’s campaign.</p>
