GAIL Gas and SAIL Rourkela Sign Pact for Cleaner Energy Supply

NEW DELHI. GAIL Gas Limited has signed a new Gas Sales Agreement with the Steel Authority of India’s Rourkela Steel Plant to supply industrial Piped Natural Gas (PNG) for its iron fabrication work. The historic deal was signed by senior officials from both companies, including Mohd Zafar Khan from GAIL Gas and U.K. Bhujabal from the Rourkela plant, in the presence of Materials Management chief Anil Kumar. Under this new partnership, GAIL Gas will deliver 8,000 standard cubic meters of natural gas daily to the steel plant. This project is a major step toward building a gas-based economy in India, helping the Rourkela industrial area reduce air emissions, improve factory efficiency, and switch to much cleaner energy alternatives.

NEW DELHI. GAIL Gas Limited has taken a significant step toward financial process optimization with the launch of its Centralized Invoicing System for Industrial and Commercial Customers. This strategic initiative aims to streamline invoicing operations, enhance accuracy, and improve overall efficiency across the organization.

The new system was officially inaugurated by Shri CMA Rakesh Kumar Jain, Director (Finance), GAIL (India) Limited, at the company’s Corporate Office. The launch also marked the opening of the Centralized Invoicing Cell.

The event was graced by the presence of CEO Shri Gautam Chakraborty, COO Shri Ajay Jindal, CGM Shri Sudhir Kr Dixit, CFO Shri Amit Jhalani, and other senior leaders and team members, reflecting the collective commitment to operational excellence and digital transformation.

This initiative underscores GAIL Gas’s continued focus on strengthening financial governance and delivering value-driven solutions to its customers.

GAIL Gas Super 30 is a Flagship CSR Project of GAIL Gas Limited, providing comprehensive free residential coaching for Medical entrance exams, to talented yet underprivileged students. This is the 1st NEET Exam batch of GAIL Gas, the journey began in FY 2024-25 with 30 students in Ranchi center and has achieved exceptional results in the very 1st year.

Out of 30 Students 24 students have qualified the NEET. 15 Female students out of 18 students have qualified the NEET
