<p>Flipkart&#8217;s successful recertification for ISO 27001, a globally recognized standard for information security, signifies that the company has a robust Information Security Management System (ISMS) in place. The ISMS is a systematic framework that governs its policies, processes, and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information. It provides a structured, risk-based approach to managing all its sensitive data, including the information customers entrust to Flipkart.</p>
<p>To achieve this recertification, Flipkart underwent a rigorous audit by BSI, a globally respected body known for its thoroughness and impartiality. Their auditors thoroughly examined every aspect of Flipkart&#8217;s security framework, encompassing its policies, operational procedures, technical controls, and employee training. This process validates that the company&#8217;s security measures are not only well-documented but also effectively implemented and continuously monitored. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Bengaluru, </strong><strong>December 2</strong><strong>, 2024:</strong> GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, a key player in Essar&#8217;s Green Mobility initiative, today announced its partnership with Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, to enhance sustainable operations in logistics. This collaboration will see GreenLine deploying its fleet of liquefied natural gas (LNG) trucks, marking a key step in Flipkart&#8217;s broader commitment to decarbonizing its delivery operations.</p>
<p>In the first phase of this partnership, GreenLine will deploy 25 LNG-powered trucks, each equipped with 46 ft containers offering a capacity of 110 cubic meters (CBM). These vehicles will transport a range of e-commerce goods, including both B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) loads, across key regional routes.</p>
<p>The initial deployment will focus on transporting goods from the West to the North of India, with future plans to expand to additional routes covering North to South and West to South corridors.</p>
<p>This partnership is a critical element of both GreenLine’s and Flipkart’s sustainability initiatives. GreenLine’s LNG-powered fleet will complement Flipkart’s existing efforts, which also include the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) trucks to further reduce the carbon footprint of its logistics operations. Recently, Flipkart also announced that it has achieved 10,000 EVs in its delivery fleet. The integration of LNG and EV vehicles is part of the company’s broader commitment towards minimising greenhouse gas emissions, and creating a cleaner, more sustainable environment.</p>

<p>GreenLine has been at the forefront of driving sustainable mobility solutions, serving industries such as cement, steel, metals &amp; mining, FMCG, express cargo, oil &amp; gas, chemicals, and consumer goods. Over the past two years, GreenLine’s initiatives have led to a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional diesel vehicles, equivalent to a decrease of 7398 tonnes of carbon emissions.</p>

<p><strong>Bengaluru, India – 11 November, 2024</strong>: Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, has achieved a significant milestone, with the deployment of over 10,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in its delivery fleet. This accomplishment is the result of a phased integration of EVs in last mile delivery over the past few years, aligning to its commitment to adopting a fully electric logistics Last-mile fleet by 2030 as part of the Climate Group’s EV100 initiative. This news has been shared in the run up to Flipkart&#8217;s highly anticipated Sustainability Action Summit 2024, scheduled for 13th November at India Habitat Center New Delhi.</p>
<p>Currently, 75% of Flipkart’s electric fleet is concentrated in Tier-I cities including Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. In August 2024, Flipkart also shared that over 55% of its grocery orders were being fulfilled by EVs. Further, during the 2024 festive period, it successfully leveraged its EV fleet to complete over 16% of grocery deliveries to tier 2+ cities, including Lucknow, Sonipat, Ludhiana, Bhubaneswar, Malda, Hubli, and Vizag, ensuring sustainable and efficient service to these areas during a season of high demand.</p>
<p>The strategic adoption of EVs has resulted in substantial operational efficiencies, lowering the cost per order at the hub level and improving the last-mile delivery speed by 20%, compared to conventional delivery vehicles.</p>
<p>In addition to expanding its EV fleet, Flipkart is also making significant investments in charging infrastructure to support this sustainable transition. The organization has partnered with the Adani Group to establish 38 dedicated charging sites featuring a total of 190 chargers across key Tier-2 cities, with further public infrastructure developments planned to facilitate wider EV adoption. Furthermore, Flipkart has introduced a Last-Mile Aggregator model in Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, collaborating with EV-focused fleet operators to enhance supply chain operations and scale the integration of electric vehicles.</p>
<p>Sharing his views on this milestone, <strong>Hemant Badri &#8211; SVP, Group Head of Supply Chain, Customer Experience &amp; Re-commerce Business at Flipkart Group</strong> said,<em> “With the deployment of over 10,000 EVs, what we have achieved is more than a logistical shift &#8211; it is a testament to our dedication to creating a lasting positive impact on the environment while enhancing service efficiency for our customers.
