Veteran stars Dharmendra and Raj Babbar shared priceless throwback pictures of Dilip Kumar on their respective Instagram profiles. “Happy birthday, Dalip sahab. Love you my darling brother,” wrote Dharmendra, who has worked with Dilip Kumar in films like Guddi and Jwaar Bhata, while Raj Babbar wished the legendary actor like this: “Happy Birthday. Wishes to the living legend Dilip Kumar Saheb. Through his sterling performances he wrote Indian cinema’s grammar book on Acting from which so many like me benefitted. Mohammed Yusuf Khan (born 11 December 1922) known professionally as Dilip Kumar, is an Indian actor and philanthropist, best known for his work in Hindi cinema. Referred as The Tragedy King and The First Khan he has been credited for bringing the Method acting technique to Indian cinema. Kumar holds the record for most wins for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor and was also the inaugural recipient of the award.

Kumar debuted as an actor in the film Jwar Bhata (1944), produced by Bombay Talkies. In a career spanning over five decades, Kumar worked in over 65 films. Kumar is known for roles in films such as the romantic Andaz (1949), the heartwarming Babul (1950), the impassioned Deedar (1951), the swashbuckling Aan (1952), social drama Daag (1952), the dramatic Devdas (1955), the comical Azaad (1955), Naya Daur (1957), Yahudi (1958), Madhumati (1958), Kohinoor (1960), the epic historical Mughal-e-Azam (1960), the social dacoit crime drama Gunga Jumna (1961) and the comedy Ram Aur Shyam (1967)

Tabassum Fatima Hashmi is celebrating her 50th birthday today. The actress, who has worked in acclaimed films like Andhadhun, Maachis and Virasat, among many others, got a cute birthday wish from her dear friend, Farah Khan. The filmmaker-choreographer shared an old photo of the two of them and penned a heartfelt note.

Farah Khan has worked with Tabu in a number of films like Virasat and Hum Saath Saath Hain, among others. In her birthday post for Tabu, Farah wrote that they have been friends for 25 years. She wrote, “Hum Saath Saath Hain! The first time I met her in 1995 at the shooting of Viraasat, and it was as if we were old friends who knew each other since childhood..and it’s been exactly like that 25 yrs later.. Happy birthday my tabdi.. @tabutiful I love you and I always let u go coz I know ul always cm back #syaaaliiiii (sic)

She is now active on OTT platform and seen in suitable boy series making love with young ESHAN KHATTAR . on films  she was last seen in a cameo in Jawaani Jaaneman opposite Saif Ali Khan. Alaya F made her debut with the film. Tabu was shooting for Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. On the other hand, Farah is working on her next film, which is said to be the remake of the 1982 film Satte Pe Satta, which starred Amitabh Bachchan. Rohit Shetty is the producer of the film.

Tabu had once revealed that Ajay, along with her cousin Sameer Arya, was protective of her and would threaten to beat up any boys who tried to approach her. Talking about growing up with him, she had told Hindustan Times in an interview, “Ajay and I go a really, really long way back, from the time we were 13 or 14. He is my brother’s childhood friend and because we all grew up together in a locality in Juhu, he was always a part of the whole boys’ gang while we were just giggling girls, hanging around and trying to get some attention.

The actor RANBIR KAPOOR  turned 38 on Monday and we wish him happy birthday . Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni picked several memories from the family album and posted them in the form of a picture collage on Instagram. Some of the photos appear to be from her birthday party and Raksha Bandhan celebrations while others are throwback pictures of the siblings with their parents – late actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar has also confirmed the script for Raid 2 is currently being developed. Co-producer Shushan told the daily, “It will be a huge multi-film franchise and Ajay ji and I, along with Kumar Mangat ji, are looking to take Raid forward. The script of Part 2 is being developed. Since the original was a much loved film, the sequel is a huge responsibility. After the super success of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, there’s a lot of pressure on this collaboration to live up to the expectation.”

Raid starred Ileana D’Cruz as Ajay’s onscreen wife while Saurabh Shukla played the role of a corrupt politician referred as Tauji. The film was appreciated by the critics. It was based on the longest raid in the 80s with Ajay playing the central role.

Meanwhile, Ajay is basking in the success of his 100th film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The actor had co-produced the film which also featured Kajol as his onscreen wife Savitribai Malusare and had Saif Ali Khan in the role of the lead antagonist, Uday Bhan. The film went on to become the year’s biggest blockbuster with collection of Rs 279 crore at the domestic box office.

Ajay has a big lineup of films in the next two years. He will be seen in Bhuj: The Pride of India, Indra Kumar’s Thank God, Kaithi remake and Neeraj Pandey’s Chanakya.

 Writer Juhi Chaturvedi, who has written for films like Vicky Donor, Piku and October among others said, “For me the draft of the film has to be mine, it can’t be someone else’s. I work with Shoojit Sircar but he doesn’t know what I am going to write though he always has an idea about what I am writing. Though it is important to listen to someone’s opinion but the world around the characters should come from within me.”

Known for making blockbuster thrillers like Talvar and Raazi, Filmmaker-writer Meghna Gulzar shared, “I go through the cycle of detachment and attachment. Filmmaking is an extremely fulfilling process but when the film comes to the edit table, I look at the footage very objectively. I totally assess things at the edit but again sound and music get me attached.”

“I love collaborative writing since I am a very lazy writer. The verbal jamming with my co-writers is fun. More than a conflict, it would be a different point of view if ever I have creative differences at the script level,” she added.

The highlights of this year’s festival is the tremendous change in the last 50 editions from participation of 23 countries in 1952, to almost 76 countries in 2019.

The 50th International Film Festival of India, 2019 is screening 26 feature films and 15 non feature films in Indian panorama section, around 10,000 people and film lovers are expected to attend and take part in the golden jubilee celebrations.
